I demand a Primal Jesus boss

Hail brothers and sisters I find it completely rude, shameful, dishonorable, and above all disrespectful that you have made the allfather Odin a villain in this great game. I refuse to slay the Aesir who tore out his own eye for knowledge to guide his people, and hang impaled upon yggdrasil for nine days and nights to unlock the power of runes for his sons and daughters.

To slay Odin is a total slap in the face to anyone who follows Asatru. As long as he is in game as a villain that you kill for loot I want another way to gain his loot, with out having to slay the primary Aesir. The solution you kill one of our gods we kill one of yours, so I want a primal Jesus boss that drops equivalent gear to what Odin drops.

See, Odin was purportedly a mythological pillar of badassery. Jesus was purportedly a humble man whose victories were of borne of a heart and spirit that embraced meekness and charity. I don't see him dropping "equivalent gear to what Odin drops." I see him dropping... like, I guess Weathered Sandals. And maybe some tilapia. He'd probably just give them to you, even. The instance would start and you'd see a system message, like, "The Power of Christ Compels You." and then all the free slots in your inventory would be bread and fish. And you'd be like, man, thanks, Primal Jesus. Is that what you're asking for? I'm not sure it fits with the overall theme.

I hope that you do realise this Odin has only taken the name of the Allfather.
He does not make use of the great spear Gungnir, but rather a sword, one that bears the name "Zantetsuken."
This Sleipnir only has four legs, half of what he should have if this was a proper incarnation of Wotan's proud steed.

I needn't remind you that all of the Primals have their names taken straight out of various religions, Ifrit (Efreet) and Bahamut of Arabic legend, Shiva and Garuda (and Ramuh, sorta) of Hinduism, Titan of Greek myth and legend, Leviathan of Hebrew Christianity. Also plenty of monsters' names come from various religious and mythological backgrounds.

While you're at it, do complain about Midgardsormr/Jormungandr being in the game as well, he's typically not an object of worship, but he is a central figure in Asatru nonetheless.

You do realize that this is just a game. And FF's Odin is waaaay different from the actual Odin. Just think of FF Odin as an epic guy who has the same name as the epic Norse God
For a sort-off-kinda-real-Odin, please play the Valkyrie Profile series

Cúchulainn (the mythical Hero warrior of Irish folk legend) was portrayed as a fat green putrid disgusting pig in FFXII.

Shiva, the male Hindu Deity has been portrayed in this series and as female goddess of Ice since the early games, but you don't heard Millions of followers of Hindu complaining.

In short, it's just names and you have no genuine cause to be offended.

I agree with all you said, but wanted to correct you here. Gungnir does appear in the FATE. He stabs it in the ground and you have to destroy it (ala Ifrit's Nail and Titan's Heart) before he does his uber-death attack.

It's just coincidental. "Shiva" is a corruption or whatever of "Shiver".

I'll just remind you all that Final Fantasy does indeed have a history of poking fun at Christianity. (Or really, Judeo-Christian and organized religions in general.) FFX being the obvious example of course. Yuna walking on water, the Church of Yevon, etc. But also, remember JENOVA? Yeah, change a letter and add another on the end and you get JEHOVAH, the personal name of the Judeo-Christian God. Then, of course, there are the obvious religious implication of Sephiroth's name (And Boss names) and the Cetra/Ancients.
