Why choose Haymaker over Feint? Do you feel you evade enough to be able to activate Haymaker over the on-demand Feint?
Thanks!
Warriors can't equip feint, Viola.
That being said, Haymaker synergizes very well with featherfoot. The less damage the mob deals is less damage you take. Dodge is common enough that it's a good tool to have.
Ah, thanks! I'm still just a lowly MAR so I'm not privy to the WAR limitations yet.
Provoke
Convalesence
Featherfoot
Haymaker
Flash
Second Wind loses it's usefulness as my HP begins to "outgrow" the heal. Anyone thought of pulling Mantra from PUG?
Mantra looked interesting but I really don't want to have to get my PUG to 42. But I would like to see people's thoughts on it.
Here is how I see WAR's cross class skills.
Top Choices:
Featherfoot - This is a skill I underestimated but honestly anytime an enemy misses you have successfully mitigated 100% of that intended damage. 90s timer is not bad either.
Flash/Provoke - You really only need one of thse on your bar. (Or none if you are confident or diligent in keeping hate.) If you know there is going to be a lot of adds take Flash. If you're just going in a solo boss fight, dumb it and swap in provoke. It allows me to be lazy about my hate and get in more uses of Storm's Path knowing if I loose hate I can just 'voke to get it back.
Convalescense/Second Wind - Again you only really need one. If you are soloing Second Wind is the better investment since Convalescense affects so few of our skills. But in a Party situation the 20% incoming heal for 20 seconds will recover far more HP thank Second Wind in the long run.
Internal Release - I love love love this skill. 20% crit chance for 15s every 60s. That short recast is what makes this skill so sweet. You can use it often and it is a great skill to use when you have 5 wrath stacks and know you're not going to use them for a while.
Filling in the Gaps:
Awareness - To me is a situational skill rather than a necessary one. Sure if the boss has a skill that boosts thier crit chance or you're dealing with a lot of hard hitting adds. Slot it. If not, I don't miss it.
Haymaker - The icing on the cake that is Featherfoot. If I'm not slotting Awareness this is my favorite. 20% slow, yes please. But the low TP cost is what wins the day. This is just a great skill for TP managment. I macro it onto my Heavy Swing.
Mantra - This skill is in the too little too late Category. Having to invest so many levels into PGL just to get it is a turn off for most, myself included. If I could get over that I would say that it can be up in the Top Tier choices right next to SW/Con. As in a fight with lots of hard to avoid AoE's this will go a much longer way for your healer than Con. but even so 10% for everyone or 20 for me.... call me a selfish tank, but the longer I stay alive the better for everyone, lol.
Featherfoot
Flash
Second Wind
Inner Relase
Convalesence (great when paired with beserker/OP)
Still level 44 so just now I'm rocking -
Featherfoot
Flash
Second Wind
Inner Release.
Didn't really think about Haymaker but I might slot that in when I get 5 additionals. That 20% could be a huge help and I completely overlooked it!
I was thinking of convalescence but I'll have to try it out against Haymaker now.
Just remember when using Second Wind try to use Beserk as it bases off attack power![]()
Convalescence is better than second wind by a large margin (in groups). I'm currently using Convalescence and Second wind in a macro, though. The healing from Second Wind just doesn't scale fast enough and I will 100% be dropping it once I'm 50 and replacing it with either Internal Release or Provoke. Second wind remains somewhat useful when soloing.While I'm not 50 just yet, I use;
Flash
Featherfoot
Internal Release
Second Wind
I plan on keeping second wind for two reasons. 1, I think it's that much more you can do to help the healer. Granted it's not much but can be a lifesaver in a sudden emergency. 2, from what I've seen on provoke, I don't find it necessary for another single target (at least my impression was it was single target) aggro since just by using the Skull Sunder/Butcher's Block combo I can build all the aggro I need.
Flash is pretty amazing. Even on single target fights because a) it doesn't cost TP. Meaning you can get AoE threat without neutering your single target damage down the road, and b) you can use it while under pacification. So once pacification pops up, cast a flash, use a defensive cooldown, and by then it should have worn off.
My choices at 50 will probably be:
Featherfoot
Convalescence
Flash
Internal Release
Haymaker

Also because Flash isn't a combo breaker unlike our OverpowerFlash is pretty amazing. Even on single target fights because a) it doesn't cost TP.
