    You have some serious ADD issues... You couldn't possibly have handled XI, you had to wait for 100tp to be granted before you could use an ability. This isn't tekken where you're mashing buttons, it's supposed to be methodical and paced. What's the rush to jam more buttons?

    If I were not a tank, I would be inclined to agree with you. It's no fun mostly autoattacking a boss waiting on that cast to stun.

    This is because the GCD is so long that we do not have time to activate our stun if we had just used a skill before the start of the spell cast. Now this could be fixed by taking our shield slam off the GCD and giving it a 5 second CD. Do that, and I would be happy with leaving the GCD as it is.

    I miss the days of TP generation before the use of abilities. IMHO SE should flip it and start you with 0TP every time. As for sprint, tag a 30s cooldown on it. If you enter a battle while the cooldown is still active, halve TP generation until it finishes.

    Generate 50+gear/stat modifier TP per auto-attack. Should work fine for the current ability costs. At that point you can easily reduce GCD to 1-1.5 seconds.

    Seriously, let's slow things down... So sick of button-mashing.

    A quick edit to add on to my point;
    It will make party dynamics far more challenging and interesting. If you don't balance your TP usage as it is generated, and blow it all in one go, you may steal from the tank and wipe the party. Do too little, and you may not be doing your best for the party. As for limit breaks? Increase their potency and make them wipe your TP entirely, and as with sprint, halve your TP generation for 30 seconds. Limit breaks should be absolutely exhausting.

    The new generation stole my fun in games. =[

    This. ; ; This game's combat feels nothing like FF. With how SE promotes this game and promoted it in 2012, claiming it will be bringing Final Fantasy back to it roots...um, I don't ever recall playing a FF game that is -this- action based. 1.23 was far superior.

    The GCD took a lot of adjusting for me to get used to. There are still frustrating moments but for the most part I'm ok with it now.

    On a side note I get furious that there is no auto-cancellation with spells if a target dies during the cast. That is something I'm still not accustomed to doing myself and I've been playing since beta.

    Style, moderation of battle pace, ability to not be cornered into development like they are with ARR, more depth to actions and the battle system (ARR can't support incaps), itemization had both horizontal and vertical progression. The quality was higher in certain areas (cutscenes, story for example), more attention to detail was spent in some areas like monsters and "feel" of battle.

    Since we're strictly talking about battle here.
