This is why I hate duty finder lobbies in ALL games.

Those of you blaming WoW players for this must not have played other online games, or maybe WoW was your first.

The jerks and ragers have always been there. Quick queue lobbies with no accountability or consequences for behavior due to being mixed with random players that you may never see again brings out the worst in gamers.

People don’t normally act this way if they have to play with their own server in an MMO, because they’ll get blacklisted and have nothing to do. The immature ones (I won't call them kids because many of them are adults) are fully aware they can just hit “quick queue” and jump in and be a jerk to their party, and still get everything done they need to.

I personally have thick skin. But if you take time out of your day to act like the guy in the screenshot, I’ll take time out of my day to report you for violating the TOU. So far though, my duty finder experiences in FFXIV have been pleasant.

These threads always remind me of this

For those of you that think we should all just 'deal with it', move on and let it go; well, I disagree, but that's what forums are for. No hard feelings.

To me it's a moral issue.

It's not about being a big baby, being thick skinned or needing to grow up. It's not about avoidance, poor performance or who's responsibility it is to act.

Really, it's about what's right and what's wrong.

    Plain simple.
Dont think that much about things that you cant change. Think about things you can change. Just because there are douchbags out there doesnt mean its your job to make them nice people.

Pretty much this. You should not be buttmad because of some kid giving the group some free comedy.

    Pick one.

Laugh it off, these kids wont make it far with this attitude.

I completely agree that it's disgusting a teenager ended up in jail because of a stupid comment on a website.

However, the reason I posted it is to illustrate how these kind of comments are seen by people who are not familiar with this cesspool called internet. Just because you're used to it doesn't make it right.

Imagine I'd come to your house, do some unsightly graffiti on your doors, maybe write "dumbshit" on the front window of your car. Completely normal where I come from! And I'm not even physically hurting you or limiting the usability of your property, so what's the big deal? It's just some color after all. If someone did the same to me I'd totally just brush it off.

Does that give me the right to actually do it? Hell no.

Since when in FF14 do you cast Stone Skin and then just stand in front of adversity doing nothing but taking hits? Usually you do something to stop the aggressor. Which is exactly what the OP is trying to do. He's forming a party and trying to stand up for what is right.

    @OP:
Are you honestly blaming Duty Finder for this ? Because obviously, if you had to create a party from your server, things like that would NEVER happen, right ?...

I admit that what has been said in that dungeon is not very nice. In fact, as others pointed, you can use the ''Report For Harrassment'' feature in the Support Desk. I mean, it's a MMORPG, you will totally meet people like that now and then. Either you just ignore them, flame them, or report them.

Now, Duty Finder is just a great tool helping everyone. Just keep doing your job, keep practicing as a tank, you'll become better one day. And ignore those stupid people.

I've only had one really bad experience and it was in Haukke Manor. The other Thaumaturge in our party thought he should be the leader and knew all the best tactics. All he did was complain and insult everyone in the party and constantly caused us all to die. During the first mini boss he sat on the sidelines. We just left the duty and waited our 15 minutes to enter again. I think it is unfortunately inevitable that we will all run into rude people in this game and it is probably best just to report/blacklist them. I'm all for people offering advice in dungeons but if that advice comes with a side of sass I'll pass.
