crafted gear with materia caps are useless also most the time you cant add the materia you need on it and if you do it give a fat zero.
people get free quest weapons and only need one job to grind seals for there GC weapons and after that grind primals.

My Sarnga HQ with Critical Hit IV and Determination IV materia says hello. Beats the Primal weapons and is perfect before I finish Artemis Bow. It is also a very attractive looking bow ingame.

Instance & quest weapons. The only point of making a crafted weapon is to HQ it, as opposed to buying a NQ from a vendor.

OP has a point, crafting does feel rather redundant and forced at the moment. I still enjoy it (granted I've only got goldsmith to 20 something right now) but I'm sure the novelty will wear off once I'm on my 7 millionth craft.

Actually... Most people will would normally respond with "dungeon loot or quest handouts" he is right, as much as i try to rationalize crafting gear, it trully is not worth it, HQ or not. This game rewards players for nothing wayyyyyy tooo much ;/
