SE really needs to make crafting recipes that are worth making every single recipes is useless, unless its for relic weapons.
GC weapons or primal weapons is all you need to work your way up to the relics

i mean theres is no point at all to make armor when you can easily get full set of armor from quest & AF for free then theres already new people with darklight sets it completely kills crafting.

nothing is up to spec even with materia crafted gear is garbage.
goldsmithing is all that will be useful, till you get darklight that is. gathering & crafting gear is it and thats the minority of the game most people are full blown fighting jobs.

Also, nobody is going to meld tons of primal weapons into materia, so they'll load up on crafted gear to spiritbond instead. Just because it's not the absolute top tier doesn't mean it's a waste of time.

My Darksteel Haub HQ says hi. It's better than the Darklight Cuirass IMO because I can meld to it.

crafted gear with materia caps are useless also most the time you cant add the materia you need on it and if you do it give a fat zero.
people get free quest weapons and only need one job to grind seals for there GC weapons and after that grind primals.

I actually agree with the OP. Crafting gear and armor does feel useless.

Do they still sell on the Market Wards? Yes
Do people need to buy them? Honestly no and I'm surprised when people do buy my weapons.

That's another issue I have with crafting + materia. I have a Mailbreaker (level 70 green crafted sword) and I can't even put a materia III or IV in it without it being nerfed down due to reaching some cap.

Makes me wonder what those materias are even needed/used for. Even the relic weapons require weapons with tier III materia inside. And endgame dropped gear doesn't allow materia attachment.

I'm only level 30, but so far... The weapon I get from my Class quest are enough to keep me going. And the armour I get from the main story line is also all I need. Perhaps it will be different for Gathering/Crafting classes (equipment wise).

But mayhap, the first 50 are not so crucial, and what comes afterwards (and 'difficult' recipes) is where the challenge will lie ^.^

The problem is that unlike the V1, ARR gives a lot of equipment parts by completing quest, whereas in V1, equipment parts recived by completing quests was more rare, and NPC's shops prices were very high compared to auction hall. SE should re-balance that, give more money by completing quests and FATE events, less gear, and crafting will get more important.

Well you see after the low level quests for geat is exahusted more and more will turn to the market boards for gear. But it would be nice if low level materia was more useful.
