Duty finder is a last resort option for people who want to try out the game and don't have 4 minutes to find members. There's a great search function and hundreds of players willing to do any dungeon at all times on your own server

I've been in several DF parties and have never experienced what you're mentioning. Sure, I've been in parties with less skilled people but so what? everyone needs to learn.

If this happens to you on a regular basis, it's probably not the party, but you that's the problem.

I've done about forty DFs at least and only had one bad run.

Stupid monk was trying, repeatedly, to start crap the whole instance. No clue why. Talking about how he was so pro and we were noobs (and no, lol, we weren't dying or anything), so on the last boss when he LB2'd the boss while it was immune to damage, I made sure to notify the party.

If you are not ready, go farm some more gear, otherwise you will be wasting your time and 7 others'.
It's not like you magically know what gear you need if you do it for the first time. Granted, you can research on forums (if none of the guildies know) and other sites, but that's just lazy design imo, or too many expectations from other players...either of those :P

Ah, believe it or not, it may still be you. There is how we perceive ourselves, and then there is how others perceive us. While you may think you are being; kind, polite, and helpful. You may be coming off as overbearing, sanctimonious, like a "know-it-all". Have someone you trust come along with you on a run and ask them for an honest opinion of your behavior. It can be enlightening.

as for me, it depends on the time
if i'm using duty finder at night (my prime time, gmt+7), everything is always going smooth as i often partied up with the japanese or LS/FC mates
if something went wrong, we'll talk it out or even googling to find the trick

however, in almost my every attempt at the duty finder in the morning, i always meet english speaking players and most of the fights are chaos
what i really hate about them is that they give up VERY easily
if something went wrong, they'll start ranting and blaming others, not thinking what went wrong
    they leave as they please

I mostly keep quiet but I just finished cape westwind and I immediately spoke up with the battle strat, answered a few questions and it went amazingly smooth. I suppose my initial impressions were not enough to grant an outburst that I had but it was a relief to finally get a group of people that cooperated. To those I ran the cape westwind, you were awesome and I had a blast. Thank you for everyones feedback.

Worst experience I've had so far is Titan. Had a monk who wouldn't even attempt to move out of attack range and just ate all our heals mp. Then complained that we kept dying.

You can't honestly expect perfection from pugs. I suggest rolling with friends if you can't put up with randoms.

Overall my experience with the duty finder in this game has been quite positive. Better than in the average other MMO.

The only thing I dislike is the occasional player which directly at the start of the instance starts qq'ing towards someone to leave, as their gear wouldn't be up to standards. I mean come on, if you're going to qq about potentially running a few wipes simply form a premade or take the penalty and leave yourself.

Agreed, but there is a limit to the times you can try some content before realizing that maybe something is amiss with you or your equipment.. Back when there was no Echo buff for failing, when you got stuck on a mission, you had two choices, either you kept trying or you went back after improving your level/gear. This should not be any different. Ok, I can not expect that people "magically know" the requirements for a fight before attempting it but.. Is it too much to ask for them to be a bit self-conscious of their flaws (if any) after trying for a few times?
