the anonymity and lack of social repercussions fuel a enviroment where vitrol is easy to spit.

It's part of the system you can't get rid of, in games without a duty finder where you are forced to play with people that at the end of the day will be interacting with your outside your instanced bubble has a profound impact on the ammount of idiocy people display. Your not going to cuss out everyone you come across in a server community lest you be blacklisted and unable to participate in the endgame scene

Duty finder removes this deterent and just allows some people to spread hate for the lulz if they so feel like it.

Duty Finder may not be at fault but it does enable and encourage this kind of behaviour, best bet is if you want to have clean runs is to find people to play with on your server or with friends.

I'm up to level 30 with DF, and have not had any problems with the people I've met.
More often than not, they don't talk, and are less interactive than NPCs I've gone with, so from a point of view of 'multi-PLAYER' being missing, I can understand.

But I would not say it was a disaster by any means.

In group JP Data Center, I don't see any problem when I use duty finder to matching with other people. I always meet good players. When all members in party are down, they chat to create strategy to win dungeon.

Why don't you talk to them? Or Why don't you team up with your friends?

Firstly, I suggest you talk to them about strategy. Then, you complain.

I don't cuss people out. I'm kind, polite, and I try to be helpful and informative if I know the stuff. Its not me that people seem to have the problem with. Its others in my group that seem to not want to get along with each other. It costs the whole group because of it. Its just childish nonsense.. I don't get it..

I started seeing problems with the DF people in the Lv 50 dungeons, specially in Castrum Meridianum. Some of the people that farm CM over and over and get mad at the new people for not knowing what to do or for watching the cut-scenes, and yet instead of trying to help them they just remain quiet and at the first mistake, they start raging and throwing insults here and there. Just a bunch of RL cowards.

It's a difficult subject because most groups will be great and I've had a fantastic time in the majority of mine, however, there is always 1 or 2 people who go out of their way to verbally abuse someone or put someone else in the firing line when somebody messes up. Not gonna lie it's usually jumped up DPS who think they're god and know everything about a week old game despite never trying to tank or heal, but nevertheless it does put you off duty finder because you never know the attitudes of the people you're going to come across.

Glad you bring up this problem because it has a very simple solution: Don't use duty finder. Nobody forces you. Of course when you put random strangers together the result won't be as good as with your close friends

What has serious happened to the final fantasy community that I have grown up loving? This attitude in the DF is just pure awful... I don't see how anyone can possibly use this and even begin to enjoy it.. its just filled with hatred and unkindness. This is truly a sad feature of the game that is unusable IMO because of the people that are in it. so sad.. /rant..
THe wonderful thing about the duty finder is you don't have to use it if you don't like it. But you not liking it doesn't make it a "disaster."

I've actually had plenty of success with the duty finder until reaching Garuda hard, where basically every random group wipes b/c of the sudden jump in difficulty (Ifrit hard really isn't very hard). but most dungeons I cleared on the first try.
