Anyone who took advantage of this, and is now at 900/2000 instead of the appropriate 600/2000 would have zero room to complain if they were reset. It is very clear that they are a 1 week reset time, and to get 300 (And 300 again) would require intentionally farming points to game the system, which they know they are beyond the intended range of.

It would be like the bank doubling any money you deposit so you take another part time job just to take advantage of it more while it lasts. You know that money isn't yours and won't be there forever, so just because you worked more doesn't mean you have reason to complain.

Clamp the points to 600. Simple solution.
