The pressure to skip cut-scenes!

IMO get an option in duty finder for "no cutscenes",

im not farming praetorium right now because with cutscenes the time it takes to do its double.

And since i dont want to pressure ppl no to watch the cutscenes, i just dont queue, first times should be able to watch the cutscenes, i just dont wanna play with them

I haven't gotten this far, so I guess I have to ask: if everyone is in the cutscene, will this fight start? Because if it won't, then wouldn't an equally valid solution be to ask if people are going to watch the cutscene earlier and then either have everyone watch it or everyone skip it? If that's not the case, I can understand where you are coming from.

I'm of the opinion that if you want to speed run a dungeon, you should grab enough like-minded people and go do it. Otherwise, realize you're sharing a duty with other people and try to accommodate their needs as well.

In my first try of Preatorium eveyone was new, so we took our time and enjoyed ourself (including cutscenes).
Guess what - we wiped a few times and - boom - timer ran out in the middle of the second to last bossfight -.-

Second run - I took lead (am tank) and asked everyone to be as fast as possible and skip CS to avoid that happening again - they were cool with that, but we finished with an hour to spare so I felt very bad about it in the end :-/

I watch them the first time, if people farming can't live with that then I'm sorry. At the start of every run it tells you if someone is new (well doesn't say who just that someone hasn't run this one before) so right there you know what the score is, its not like they take all that long.

This has probably been mentioned before, but they should just disable cutscene skipping when they are watched for the first time. Usually you let players skip cutscenes because you don't want to force them to watch them if they don't care. But there are two problems with this way of thinking:

1. People won't even start to care about the story when they skip cutscenes from the beginning. Players don't know what's best for them, that's why games have rules rather than being completely open sandboxes.

2. Not forcing players to watch cutscenes is one thing, but in MMOs this also means forcing others to skip them even though they'd like to watch them. Of course you could always watch them regardless of what the party wants, but that just leads to drama or even gets you kicked from the party (once they add that feature).

Lol, if someone told me to skip a cut scene, I'd, probably not very politely, tell them where to go. We had a war complaining because we watched the Garuda cut scene on the main story. I ignored him. I also pitied him, he didn't stay and watch the cut scene after that - just said 'don't we get any loot for this?' And left. So sad.

If you truly want to effectively farm for tombstones. Then grab 7 others on your world and clear them in 20-40 mins and repeating it. Complaining about first timers watching CSes when you queued Duty Finder and waited 20 to 60mins to get a full party is just stupid.

What I find truly hilarious is the majority of the complainers I've come across are the ones that lack skill, do crap DPS, and/or die and take all avoidable AoE dmg.

The game has been out a week. People should display a shred of patience and common decency and allow for people to watch the culmination of the games main story. Don't join a main story instance and rage when people want to actually experience the climax of their storyline. It's just retarded.

Dungeon are fine but there one type of cs in one of the dungeon for storyline with a blowing airship. If you don't skip it you going to get everyone killed. Now tell me is that fair? for us all to have to sit there and die while people watch a dumb airship blow up? That why there a inn with a little book that allow you to watch every single CS in the game.

At the end of the day it's going to happen i love watching CS and dislike when people make me skip. I did not do it for COP in FFXI when the timer keep going and i wont do it in FFXIV. But there just some CS you just have to say ok and skip for and the airship blowing up yep you have to skip.

Well if watch a CS will get players killed then it's SE's fault to blame. Why you have to blame other players for it??
