This didn't happen. Every group I've been with has been super nice. Like 20 Ifrit runs, not a single asshole. People got mad after usually 3 wipes, but thats fine. No one had an issue explaining the fight and I have never heard the ebay insult before, ever, in any mmo.

Agreed. Why do people just believe this story 100%?

I have done dozens of dungeon runs and my groups have never been so horrible. In fact, they have been for the most part very very polite. I can understand 1 person being a jerk but to just have the entire rest of the group gang up on one person for no reason just sounds bogus and unlikely, and you need to provide evidence for a claim like that if I'm going to believe it. OP is probably leaving something out of the story, probably gave the group a reason to lash out at him or is exaggerating things. I imagine what actually happened was they got in more of a back and forth argument.

And a full group ripping on one player isn't that strange if they all know each-other and just use DF to fill in the last slot. Lots of groups do that.

Also, the closer you get to endgame, the more d-bags you'll encounter. The rudest players are also the ones who are after the biggest e-peen, so they rush to endgame as fast as possible.

Well even just reading your story I wouldn't find it outlandish and require evidence to believe. Like I mentioned, one person being a jerk is understandable. But having 3 people be jerks and just gang up on one person for no reason? Something is fishy. 3 people queueing together would make sense though.

Funny, I've had exactly the opposite experience with Ifrit Hard and level 50 dungeons. I did Ifrit with 3 separate groups and, during my first time, I said I'd never done it before and no one explained, or was willing to explain anything to me. Other groups didn't explain it to anyone else, either, they just expected people to know what to do.

In Amp Keep I've had at least five separate people leave when members say they haven't done it before and two or three being outright rude about it. People seem a bit more tolerant in Wanderer's Palace, though.

I went to my final story dungeon with a DF group farming Stones, and they didn't explain anything (but weren't dismissive or rude, either, just apathetic). They just expected me to follow along, and I was okay with that.

There will always be bad along with the good. Just because you've primarily had good doesn't mean the bad doesn't happen, either.
