It's more than a fantasy because it exists. It's more than a game...because it never ends.
i want to party with you
This didn't happen. Every group I've been with has been super nice. Like 20 Ifrit runs, not a single asshole. People got mad after usually 3 wipes, but thats fine. No one had an issue explaining the fight and I have never heard the ebay insult before, ever, in any mmo.
That's the beautiful power of being a tank or healer. Don't get on our bad side. You wont last very long without us.
Clearly, because if it didn't happen to you it didn't happen at all. This didn't happen. Every group I've been with has been super nice. Like 20 Ifrit runs, not a single asshole. Assuming you are not simply trolling the forum readers. This is one great story! They deserved it.
So, I'm not super far in levels/progress, but I've had some actually great pugs. I know this is mostly talking smack about the DF (or rather some of the.. "people" that use it) but, just wanted to share some of the good parts to. Running Toto-Rak my first time as healer our gladiator did an amazing job, and I barely felt a lot of the "healing weight" that the dungoun causes with consistently casting esuna/heals. My second time through I got in a full fresh group noone having done it before. My first time through being such a cake walk I figured "no problem, this will be fun"...
I'd just recently unlocked my sleep spell, yey I'll feel usefull. I ended up sleeping 2 mobs every pull, plus healing, and dps'ing during my "down time" By the end of the dungoun I was physically tired. I was also marking my sleep targets with chains, and fluid aura'ing them if they moved into tanks aoe range. But in the end, I had a GREAT time.
I left WoW to escape its community and now it seems the community found me hiding out in FFXIV.
