Id have left at 10%, they probably still killed it with 5% left.

YEah, but who wants to talk to people in an Massive MULTIPLAYER Online game? Sadly, there are so many people that think like this in mmos today. Its a testament to their understanding of what mmos are really all about that they behave this way. Let these fools burn themselves out grinding and smashing content being antisocial and they'll say this game is too easy or is full of casuals, and eventually the next new shiny will come out and they'll move on. I don't mind spending an extra amount of time if I know I'm getting the chance to show a green horn that mmo players are not all jaded min/maxers. Give this game a few months and hopefully we'll rid ourselves of a good majority of these types. Positive action garner positive reactions. Spread the good will and eventually we can win out over the angry and hateful players on our servers. Silence them with kindness. /hug

this story is great, i can imagine the crying and blame tossing afterwards, lol...
I would love to see the panic and chaos as the Ifrit beatdown insued

Best thread all day love it hahahaha

Thats awesome! lol. I wished this game would have the FFXI community (community was great in my 6yrs of playing), sadly as far as I can see so far, some "tough" guys are coming to ARR :/

That was actually me who left. I'm sorry about that, but at that point my patience had just worn way too thin after having to explain things a million times to people who wouldn't listen. Then came your group, which didn't answer when I asked if anyone was new (just so I knew if I had to explain yet again), and somehow wiped at the very first pull. I'm sorry, but that was just one of those "F it, I'm out of here" moments. That just happened to me and an FC friend using DF for Wanderer's Palace. The... players left after we said we hadn't done it, so we left and started DF again and got two more, one of em was new, one was an awesome SCH that walked us through the whole dungeon, beat Tonberry King and everything. I'd bet 100 gil the people that leave after hearing someone is new are bad players themselves.
But hey, glad to read that at least you listened to the other guy on your next run and managed to clear it.

Stories like this are why I stick to crafting. :P

I love you.Tonight in Ifrit Hard-Mode--- Tanking on Warrior---
Soon as we entered I told them this was my 1st time doing this on ARR and I had beat it several hundred times on 1.0. I asked them if there was anything different to please let me know. I used proper grammar, spelling, and so on. No one spoke up about anything different but instead told me to leave and others called me an ebay account. I was called "Retard" and "Gay" and you name it, including Mom bashing and so on. One of them stated "You ebay accounts always make us die 1000x before 1x win, just leave!" Anyways, I'm tanking it like it's the easiest ever, no one dieing or anything, so when it was down to ~5% I said "Ebay this" and left the fight
Moral of the story kids, just because you don't know them, does not mean you can get away with bashing random people.
Awesome OP. Just awesome. Makes me want to play a tank. As a DPS, I do not have that kind of power... and I want that power.... -drool-
<-- Still can't figure out how to make a cool graphic signature.
