Omfg! You, good Sir are Brilliant! I am LMAO so HARD XDDTonight in Ifrit Hard-Mode--- Tanking on Warrior---
Soon as we entered I told them this was my 1st time doing this on ARR and I had beat it several hundred times on 1.0. I asked them if there was anything different to please let me know. I used proper grammar, spelling, and so on. No one spoke up about anything different but instead told me to leave and others called me an ebay account. I was called "Retard" and "Gay" and you name it, including Mom bashing and so on. One of them stated "You ebay accounts always make us die 1000x before 1x win, just leave!" Anyways, I'm tanking it like it's the easiest ever, no one dieing or anything, so when it was down to ~5% I said "Ebay this" and left the fight
Moral of the story kids, just because you don't know them, does not mean you can get away with bashing random people.
That just happened to me and an FC friend using DF for Wanderer's Palace. The... players left after we said we hadn't done it, so we left and started DF again and got two more, one of em was new, one was an awesome SCH that walked us through the whole dungeon, beat Tonberry King and everything. I'd bet 100 gil the people that leave after hearing someone is new are bad players themselves.A lot of the people doing DF end-game are pretty terrible right now. No one's willing to explain anything, and multiple times I've had people leave because someone says they're new to an area, even with insults as they do. Give it a month or two and people won't be in such a rush.
Yeah i had that experience when i hit 50 on smn/scholar people dropping out because we were new, eventually once i got experienced with the dungeon i started to walk through new players on all the bosses when healing on my scholar. I wonder if i was the one that walked you through it haha. Most probably not though. That just happened to me and an FC friend using DF for Wanderer's Palace. Dungeons are actually more enjoyable imo when you get a new player to teach on the way, I've been running AK a lot the last 2 days with my cousin as he tanks and I heal and usually atleast 1 dps is new to the dungeon. That just happened to me and an FC friend using DF for Wanderer's Palace. The last 7 runs we had there we have not wiped a single time, and we get told thanks for explaining the fights so easily etc. If people were just willing to help they'd realize people gladly listen and learn from being explained the fights.
this is why i dungeon with my FC onry x3
Welcome to the world of Cross Server DF tools which does not hold people responsible to act in a respectable manner. The Pro Cross Server crowd can say it never happens or the Social aspect of an MMO is not more important than convenience. Problem is They are wrong and just because you have a Cross Server DF does not mean it will be faster than Server Only DF tools. Not once have I ever sat more than 30 minutes (even as a DPS) in the SWTOR Server Only LFG tool, and out of dozens of LFG runs I have only had a handful of problem people. I just black list them and move on.
Cross Server LFG tools I will never use. I have not use it here in FFXIV nor will I ever. I had my fill with Cross server tools in WoW and Tera to last me a life time. I would rather wait a week when I can get all of my friends on to run a group or wait hours for Free Company members to log on than deal with Cross server DF BS.
I have yet to have people just up and quit because I said its my first time, and I say it at the start of everything I'm new to, or bitch me out for it either, only level 41 with my highest dungeon being cutters so far though.
The only boss I've wiped on repeatedly has been first boss in Qarn, and that was because our whm just kept failing to platform doom, 60 minutes of letting him try later I finally gave up and quit to find a new group.
Our group didn't make fun of him or anything though we just kept trying until we realized there was no way we were beating it.
Maybe I've just been lucky with good DF groups.
eventually these clearly new influx of players with bad attitudes will realize we see through them. A 1.0 experienced player would have given you the run down easily.
Not hide their own weakness and resort to such chillness. Eventually they will get the picture.
Ebay account? Seriously?
Wow... I really can't believe someone who have the audacity to say those things to someone... I can sadly believe it happened though with the world we live in and all the elitest jerks out there who are ruining the community for sure! Awesome job on your part to teach them a lesson. If I could hug you IRL I would!
I know I can tell the elite groups are starting already because people are already quoting gear and item level.... just a word for people out there who do this...
Item level can't help someone stand out of graphics, item level can't help someone avoid an OHK boss mechanic... just because someone's item level is higher than everyone elses it doesn't necessarily mean that they are better than someone with a lower gear level who could potentially save your group from a wipe! I have seen it happen! Not to mention I usually am one of the people with a lower item level because I intentionally pass on items to let others get things!
Just my 2cp though! Again... awesome job!
