Why do people have such a hard time grasping very specific rules? No, event items aren't given again. They are proof you were there.

You can only get the xmass outfit from other players atm, by the way. This year we get the snowman outfit as it's been seen online.

I find it ridiculous for people to insist on Yoshi to go back on his word... put it simply, my Gobbue mount is more special because there's a limited number of them. Yep.

Aside from being limited and exclusive content, there was a reason lore wise. The art of beast taming is a secret, and perhaps if they ever bring back the people who unlocked the secret, they may teach the technique again (or at least a different goobbue type; might be a good exclusive mount for beastmasters).

Though as a whole, there were emails, site updates and letters from the producers claiming this was an exclusive mount only available up to patch 1.23a back in July of 2012 or so. There is no disputing written guarantees years past, especially with the precedence as stands with exclusive meaning exclusive. This is the honest and cited truth of the matter at hand.

There is no shame in admitting that you want something because you like it. though trying to justify deserving it is another story. In this case I would side with the legacy. simply put SE gave their word it would be exclusive and only obtainable in 1.0 for that event. and keeping ones word should take precedence. The value of a person is on how much their voice carry's weight. Truth and Honor are what build this, Honoring your word, and telling the truth. without these you could try your best to convince someone of something and fail.

The world would be simpler if we didn't hide behind a fancy curtain of justification. If we could just say. "I want it because I like it" and "I do not want them to have it, It is mine"

Dude I don't even care if they bring Goob back, though I would hope that they change it a bit. Why? Because it was a one time only thing that was up for a while. It's like complaining about not getting a event reward because you were unsubbed then. To be fair though, event rewards are obtainable during some events again, but they normally charge. I think if they bring Goob back they should charge and not just pass him off for free, at least as a gil sink or something because eventually we'll need one. :P

You are exactly right, and the Goobbue was available to EVERYONE who purchased 1.0 and paid for a subscription in 1.0. If I choose not to buy the Digital CE, I shouldn't get the Courel mount and Behemoth barding. If you chose not to play 1.0, you shouldn't get the Goobbue.

Every single one of those links simply stated the quest to get the Goobue horn would no longer be available in 1.0 after 1.23 they never once stated "Exclusive", or that the Goobue would never ever be available again or make a return in 2.0 in another way.

I dont mind them being added in again, but what I would like them to do if they do add them in again is to reskin them just change the color of carpet or goobbue so that you can still the difference betweent he V1.0 mount and ARR mount.

No way. And I say this as a new ARR player who thinks the Goobue mount looks awesome and would love to have one. I think it's really cool that it's something exclusive just for the oldest and most loyal players.

SE should consider making the Goobbue an obtainable mount again. ARR new players will appreciate this limited mount that is currently for 1.0 players. I feel like I'm missing out
