Customers who purchased Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn before it was removed from PSN Store on 28/08/13 will receive a wallet refund for their purchase within the next few days.
As a goodwill gesture, they will also receive in their Download List, at no cost, the Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn edition (Standard or Collectors) they had originally purchased (so they should refrain from attempting to repurchase the game).
The new DLC files they will receive will allow them to access the game without receiving further errors.Please note that the game will still require you to register a Square Enix account in order to be played and only the account that owns the game can play it. For any issues registering a Square Enix account you will need to contact the publisher.Square Enix official forumsThis covers compensation to all players registering the game before 9thSeptember and Square Enix will be offering 7 days additional free game time due to the server issues that they’ve faced through launch.*Any questions please ask but it looks like your login issue will be solved by the new DLC files.
do we have to pay again or only the monthly cost ?

for your first question i dont know...you can try the old version or download just download the new one when it becomes available.
for your second question:

Oh nice. Glad they managed to sort it out for us. The fact that were getting a refund of it as well is nice of them to do. I'm guessing once the maintenance is done tomorrow that will be a good time to download the new client correct? Not entirely sure how we'll know when the client is replaced. In any case glad it sorted.![]()
Ok so i got my copy from gamestop had just the digital version but then got my hard copy. but like all of you im haveing the same problem with it saying i have no active account. i alrdy had 3 characters made. so do i still get the refund even though i preordered it through gamestop? also do i have to register a new account all together and lose my orignal characters?

this is only for those people who purchased the digital eu playstation store version on the 27th and 28th before it was pulled

OFFICIAL FROM PLAYSTATION BLOG FORUM...ONLINE SUPPORT COORDINATOR:
"Keep an eye on your download lists as when the new game files are added they will have a new "purchase date" and will be at the top of the list.
When this content is in your download list you will have to delete the old game and download the new files from your download list.
They are setting this all up now and will inform me when the process is complete."
