    FATEs are fine, it isn't the problem. It's the problem of players taking the easier way out but rest assured that they will suffer for it because dungeons are tied to the story quests. Hence, they fall behind in the main story line and with level synching, it doesn't necessarily make it easier for them. So what if they can reach 50 first? You're going to be the better player in the end.

    However, I do agree that dungeons should give more XP, as it gives people who actually prefer to chain run on dungeons more incentives to do so, and more loot. 2 items per chest wouldn't be so bad.

    No way to increase xp for dungeons.
    Change what is bad, don't change what is good.

    If you touch the xp in dungeons, then we'll level too fast, not enough money for repair and the stuff not on par to face the next step in difficulty. All is absolutely linked, builded like a castle of cards,so please peeps stop talking about augmenting xp in dungeons and other things, it will break the whole game, simply as that.
    If you level too fast, you'll out damage areas, hence less fun because of less challenge.

    Despite Yoshida said, that was a terrible mistake and that declaration will have much more impact than he was thinking at the moment he has done it and even now, he didn't like leveling phase in a game, there is still a bunch of people like me, who loves the leveling, the way, much more than the end game. Most of us are long term PvE and PvP HL players who have nothing to prove anymore to anyone and we assume the fact that we are loving the leveling phase.

    Never though about this. It's a good point.
    Since you have to get certain milestones in the story quests to unlock important things, jobs, airship travel and possibly even end game dungeons (I'm not sure about that last one) people that grind FATE are effectively going to be forced to go back and level their character all over again.

    I've not done many FATEs because frankly they are as boring as hell due to the zerg rush and all you get is XP and gil. I wish they'd make it more like the PQ system in Warhammer Online which in my opinion was much more fun and rewarding. Plus not as spammy due to the fact they were in three stages and didn't spawn as often.

    I like the FATEs, but I do them solo (with 1 exception).

    I think the problem is people forming FATE parties and doing FATE runs.

    Give EXP bonuses how they are doing in terms of time or maybe death. Or even give everyone for a very good time and no death some purple Item. And also I disagree that this will make leving much faster. Right now you can get to level 50 in a day if all you do is extreme fate hunting. I did the last 3 levels in 3 hours through fates because I had no quests left....

    For the love of the licence, FF ans its lore, the hard work Squee has done, I really wanted to give my money and give it a go.

    In fact I realize I'm on the wrong game since beta 3.

    I love RP, but there's no RP server.
    I love leveling phase, but Yoshida hates it.
    I love PvE difficulty, but people want a nerf of it, in dungeons and class quests.
    I love to work to get something, but people want all without any efforts.

    So boost XP and rewards for all, nerf difficulty, put an option to pass 50 on all classes straight away, and..

    Bon appétit and do not forget to pull the flush.

    The best solution in my opinion to stuff like this is to take fates into a daily diminishing return system. Though maybe a complex one. For instance, if you did fate A three times, fate B 7 times and fate C once while you don't want to touch fate D... Fate A could give you 85% exp, fate B would give you 65% exp and fate C would give you 95% exp and you would get 100% exp from fate D. What this would do is make harder or less rewarding fates more appealing, and at the same time it would cool down the zerg rushing.

    However I don't think that the FATES are killing the game. DPS do Queue up for Dungeons, trust me. I'm DPS... Except there are too many DPS or not enough Healers or Tanks in the Queue because it takes 50 minutes to get into a single Dungeon and 30 if I am lucky and these are 'popular' ones [story ones]. So, I wonder why people resort to fate grinding instead of Dungeons.
