As i understand it it's as bad as ever, now you have users literally staying logged in permanently/overnight/while away from home.
but the extra servers will be online soon, certainly before this double account issue is solved, if it hasn't been solved by now.

Oh woops, I read it as 3 pm so I was like...ok so maintenance for a full day. My mistake.
Never forget though everone, YOLO, (you only login once)
I wanted to reroll on Ridill to join all of you, but I could only get into Alexander. Maybe once I finish the story line quests in Ul'dah I'll join you.
Yeah, man I have been reading these post.... It just bothers me. Sure, I made the mistake of creating a new account on the confusing interface. ( I claim that) But still, why should I and every other player that did the same thing be punished in this way? This is my first experience with a MMO. When I buy a game I am used to being able to play it to fit my schedule.( And play with my friends). I just want my beta characters back bro. Thats all....haven't you been reading any of these posts? The reason this thread got to 585 pgs is because of the abysmal customer support for NA. Really buddy, I hate to burst your bubble, but NA customer support could really care less that you have a full time job (I feel your pain though). I would try once or twice, but if things are already getting hairy at the start of their day, then I would wait it out.
Well I can't really foresee how SE will handle this particular situation. One would hope that this is a very high priority for them because it will probably effect the way their sales go for this game for quite a while. His was obviously a very original case. Not that I'm trying to downplay your example in any way rutsahl.
While SE's CS is notorious for being bad, I think that in this instance, there are sooooo many people having this issue; it will eventually be fixed. It's just a matter of when.
That's not necessarily me being overly optimistic either. I just think that this launch hit SE with so much crap that they really weren't prepared for it. People keep saying, "Don't use that an excuse." But what a lot of you guys don't realize is that SE was practically bankrupt after the original 1.0 launch of XIV. They hadn't had the money for a new support team. I'm not saying this is an excuse for them to not solve our problems. It's just going to take time.
I can however tell you that my case was actually not that original at the time, and in fact I could be considered one of the more fortunate ones. During the time this happened, RMT were running rampant with account hacking (I believe it's what originally led to the security token and the one-time password system.) A few lucky soles had their accounts returned within a month or two, more however, like me, took much longer. A few rare cases took around 2 years to be returned. If it's still around on their forums, you can find a thread about as long as this one on the Blue Gartr forums that stemmed as a result of the event.
