Unless Nintendo changed their tune and will be getting series about oneline gameplay. Doubt it.

* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

This wont happen... but nintendo has ruled since day one and will NEVER stop ruling its effin nintendo...
The day the NGP or next gent handhelds get USB ports to plug in keyboards that are fully usable is the day I will pitch a tent.
Completely this. . .based off Nintendo's track record, their online service will be laughable and require friend codes. They're a joke in that arena, while MS and Sony have it down (relatively)

No way I'd want to play with someone using a portable, hand-held console. I can imagine the chaos it would cause to a simple party, let alone upcoming battle events.
I already had issues with a number of console players on ffxi, whining about how their consoles were lagging, didn't have keyboards, or simply found it too big an effort to put the controller down to type on the keyboard. Ended up more or less restricting my linkshell to pc-players later on.
Someone said touch screen. what could you possibly do with that? Craft? Fight squirrels?

Nintendo Rocks Know Your Roots

Nintendo has been continually improving upon their online capabilities; and with a system with more power than PS3 and the 360, I wholeheartedly /welcome FFXIV being on their next system. Square and the Final Fantasy series grew up with Nintendo and brought with them some of the most epic RPG's, and it deserves to have a numbered title again.
