GMs don't have special abilities beyond GM tool stuff. HP/MP boost etc are indeed class buffs. You get quicken if you have the item from having an active FFXI sub, which lasts 25 min instead of 10.

You don't think they could have knocked something up quickly just for this event? Also watching the vid posted the "NPC/GM" didn't even use the weapon it was on his back the whole time while the buffs went off.
