Need help , getting insane lag/disconnects.

I have the same issue as you, OP. I've been playing this since beta/early launch with no latency issues until today. And all day I have been plagued with lag spikes making this unplayable. I have also tried logging on NA/JP servers with the same issue (I play EU). I'm also very positive it isn't my net after doing a check on everything. FF14 is the only game I am having issues with today. I hope maintenance on Wednesday fixes this.

I also have experienced this but not to the point I get error 9000 right away the lag is consistent to a 5 second delay sometimes 10-15. This started for me 2 days ago and has slowly gotten worse

Hey, i have got the same problem, been playing since early release and i had no issues like this. I got insane lag spikes randomly for like 5-15 sec everything stops, than what happened in the last 5-15secs all happens in fast motion + sometimes i get the same disconnect as the OP with the same error. Something is fishy here.

Yeah that does sound exactly like my problem.

That also look just like my issue , hopefully we can get it fixed soon or at least have a word from someone who knows what's going on. And it's not our network/ISP i am 99.9% sure since the problem is across all worlds and regions ( Can't know for sure if a player from the JP get this issue but so far NA and EU are getting it )

Suck because this was my free time and I've been waiting for almost 7 hours for this lag to settle or to have some kind of news on what's going on. For now i keep trying every hour or so but it's always the same thing , log in just fine but less than 5 minutes after i disconnect.

If i remember correctly Excalibur is a JP server ( Wasmade for NA maybe but it's from JP ) so that would mean really all regions are getting it. again sad to hea so many are getting this issue but the more we are that suffers this the faster we might get an answer / fix.

Now when I log into my character, I get about 2 minutes of increasingly stuttery gameplay followed by a 90k error. I have run diagnostics on my connection and it is fine, so I am led to believe this bug is firmly attached to my character until SE can issue a fix.

Now when I log into my character, I get about 2 minutes of increasingly stuttery gameplay followed by a 90k error. I have run diagnostics on my connection and it is fine, so I am led to believe this bug is firmly attached to my character until SE can issue a fix.

I also noticed something , happened twice so far. When i open the game , when you press Start to see your character list , well BEFORE i get to see my character i get the 1017 error telling me the world is full , but i didn't even enter a world yet , then it brings me back to the menu like the error 1017 does but this time when i click start i get error 5005 " There was a problem with the lobby server " and the game close ( The text in error 5005 could be slightly different but that's what it mean )

Exact same thing is happening to me, and has been for the last few days. It's rendering the game unplayable, I simply can't do anything. If I attempt to do a dungeon with FC, I'll get 10 minutes in and then a massive lag spike will result in me getting 90k'd, then I won't be able to reconnect for ages. Then once I finally do, the exact same thing will happen again. Today is MUCH worse than it has been, I'm getting lag spikes every couple of minutes, and while they're not always kicking me off the server, it's making it nigh impossible to do anything constructive.

So far for most people who had this issue before it seems it became even worst since 12AM - 3AM this morning. I've been able to log it for more than 2 min now i got in for 5-10min this time , did a fate everything went well then i got a huge spike at the end of the fate... mounted up and 10sec after game froze and i got 90000 again.
