Except no, it hasn't.
Issues with upgrading infrastructure and servers aside, don't make a big official post patting yourselves on the back, saying that things are working, when they haven't been. That's what irks me the most about all of this. Tell me you're still working on it, maybe even what the exact problem was. But don't say things are fixed when they aren't. It seriously reduces my faith in the technicians in charge of the servers.

It's less bad compared to how it was a couple hours ago, but it is still randomly throwing NA/EU server group not available, which is doing a number on my login script, because I have a character on one of the JP servers. So, I have to keep manually resetting it, and it's really starting to drive me nuts.And not only are we currently unable to load NA/EU servers, but an update was just posted saying that this issue was solved.

Just a helpful tip to anyone out there getting the NA/EU server group not available message. If you get that, don't bother clicking the X and trying again, it won't refresh. You have to close your client and login again to get past it.



You mistake trolling for calling out those who would create an identical thread on an well known issue rather than contributing to an existing discussion. It's not constructive in the least, it just delineates the existing discussion presently already taking place.

I filed a complaint at the Better Business Bureau website due to all the issues and their unwillingness to work with their customer to resolve the issue. I've asked for a refund due to not even being able to play the game outside of the open beta. They haven't even replied to my request because they don't care at all about their customers. When the BBB contacts them I bet they will though.

Don't get me wrong, I would love the hell out of a working queue system where I don't have to mash 0 all day. At the same time, you can't tell me you didn't expect login issues to get even worse on the first weekend after official release. . .

Subscriber's have a right to complain and be upset when they pay for a service to which they have no access. They do not deserve to be attacked for voicing their unhappiness.
I am unhappy that I cannot play ffxiv:arr and have to play instead, ff1017. It will not however stop me from playing ffxiv:arr once these issues are solved. Ignoring the trolls on this forum and the constant login issues, this is an excellent game and well worth the subscription.

Every time it looks like I might get in, I get hit by 1017 after clicking start, then the NA/EU list again.
My god, did I just imply spamming 0 and getting 1017 is the equivalent of thinking I might get in?

It is doing something new now. After about 5-10 attempts you get 1017 really quickly after attempting to log in, and after that happens it tells you Can't load group NA/EU servers. This is making it impossible to use a login macro to login, and means you have to reload the client after every 5-10 attempts now. I've had this happen to me 3x now in the last 10 minutes.
It's just getting more and more inconvenient. My best guess is they are limiting the number of attempts in a certain amount of time and closing access to anyone attempting more than this number of times.
