Finally you are probably the only person here with a brain...You are so unbelievably dumb.
You don't seem to get that after you do the main story on the class, you CANNOT DO IT WITH OTHER CLASSES, THUS A HUGE CHUNK OF XP IS MISSING FOR LEVELING ANOTHER CLASS. And for that they implement a 50% xp bonus that only applies to mob killing and fates, so you in fact have to grind FATEs with any other class you want to level.
exactly someone should force him to go play the old version of ffxi before all the expansions came out... you know the one where it took months or even years to hit level cap... ah those were the days
Why can you not do both? Last I checked, fates aren't up constantly. There is downtime, which could be used to do a leve or two. Leves dont exactly take long to do.No..... it's not. When I was working on getting 50 on summoner I could do leves and get 8000 exp for one leve, or I join a fate party and do one fate for each leve I did. The fates though gave 20,000 exp. You could also get a rare leve that gave 50,000 exp. Leves and fates both took the same amount of time, but fates took less work and rewarded me much much more.
What do you expect to win by rushing multiple classes to 50 as efficient as possible in this game? A trophy? FFXIV is clearly not a game based around min-maxing, otherwise we would see far more options when it comes to skill and stat building. If you want a real min-max game, then play Path of Exile; that's where it really matters to be as efficient as possible and theorycrafting the best builds among so many combinations and options.
It feels like you are wearing white to a funeral: it is out of place.

Okay... in Bloodshore, I get roughly 10000 exp per FATE. I get 4000 exp per leve and 1200 per dungeon mob in Brayflox. One complete run of Brayflox gives me 1 or 2 levels so that's around 160000 exp per run. I think dungeons can compete with FATEs if more people were tanks.
Here is where you people are 100% wrong.
Stop and enjoy the game? People might actually stop and enjoy the game for everything it has if they could actually LOG INTO THE GAME when they wanted too. But right now there is no other option. People will get xp as fast as they can since they have little time to actually play now since SE is too stupid to figure out that they need an AFK kicker.
Also, once you burn a quest, it's gone. There is no getting it back. So lets say you want a Glad ability for your Marauder, but you quested they entire way up. Guess what you are doing? Yup, fate grinding. Yes MMOs all have grinds but so what. It's a zerg fest and it is not fun at all.
You forget that Leves have a cap. One does not simply run levels while fate grinding.
Dungeon exp is trash. Yeah its not bad for a grind and something to do, but risking a dungeon for bad xp and getting into a bad group is not worth it.
Also, they GIVE you your AF gear aside from the weapon. So running a dungeon for gear is pointless.

Leveling one class is easy due to the story mission. But grinding the others isn't too bad... when you can actually get in the game, that is.
But FATEs and left over missions are good. There's also guildhests, dungeons once you unlock those at the right level, levelhests, etc.

Because if you are stuck in a leve you can not do a fate. Also fates are not always placed next to leves. So say you are in mor dohna, and you are doing leves. You could get around 8000 xp maybe every couple of minutes with the random spike every once in a while of 20k if the fate happens to be near your leve spot, and you aren't stuck in a leve. Or, you could get in a fate group and get around 20k xp every couple of minutes. So a constant 20k every couple minutes or 8k every couple of minutes. Which would a sensible person take? I also agree with what someone said earlier. AF gear is too easy to get.
