Afk-logout would probably help for a day, then people would just bot or use a device to keep an action going.

I like the daily reboot option until things get fixed. I suppose this option could put strain on the login, but anywho...

I agree* i already have a macro set up for such an event in other mmos on my gamepad. I press the button without a number and it pressed Wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww for about an hour, spams the number keys, and then pressed ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss then presses aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

on my other keymap it has the map click all over the screen for point and click only for movement mmos

they would have to do some serious restricting.

It works for World of Warcraft, why wouldn't it work for this game.

In WoW you stay AFK for 20 minutes you get logged out.

its not gonna work because people will just circumvent it. they would make a macro on their gkeys or razer keyboards to press jump then pause 5 min then jump again. to prevent from idling to long. This is why antiafk systems are dumb and pointless.

I had a thread going about this very thing earlier this week. Was discussing how they could script a scheduled reboot everyday during the servers lowest load level.

Unfortunately, it is something like 3000 posts down the line now because everybody keeps starting a new thread to register an already established complaint, instead of just contributing to an existing one that is already on the front page....

Lets see if I can find it again.... Search box.... enter "reboot servers"... click Search. Oh wow... over 4 pages of hits??!! Oh... look... there's the two threads I had going earlier this week... lets see if we can get them back to the front page again, and see how long it takes for them to scroll again...

-some- people will make a macro to circumvent it, but the mass majority of people aren't that smart lol you give people in general too much credit.

AFK timers would definitely boot the majority of AFK'ers

for like a day then the mass majority of the people will find a way to stay logged in. the people that are staying logged in are the same type of people that would circumvent the afk timer with a 2 second to make macro. Simple at this point all of these things are not needed because the issue will be fixed in 2 days.

What is QQing? I am sure you don't mean crying because QQ is actually an old term coined during the age of early network play where it meant to ragequit because QQ exited the app. So is it too much to ask that people actually understand what they are staying and quit regurgitating misinformation?

Why oh why does everything get compared to WoW. Personally I despise the game and couldn't stand playing it despite someone offering to pay the sub. How about we skip trying to turn this into wow and move toward something DIFFERENT than that PoS game :P

You read it on the internet so it must be true!
No not everyone that stays logged in would do so. Some people simply find leaving their machine on while they sleep or go to work is pretty simple. Making a macro actually takes work and you would be shocked at how lazy people can be. The reality is the more people stay logged in and cause people the ability to do so will only encourage more to do so. I am wondering, as much as you defend this, are you one of those staying logged in 24/7? I am betting you yourself are contributing to this problem and are pushing against the idea so as to not have to deal with the issue.
