I agree that they should compensate us. They are doing it with free time 1:1 to lost time. I think that is fair. Asking for a Relic voucher is way over the top, in my personal opinion.

Yoichi made an amazing game. Possibly the best MMO ever.
SE's management and marketing team decided to sell more copies of the game than they had the ability to support.
Blame SE corporate for
1. Not giving Yoichi the resources he needed
and
2. Then over-selling.
Two Thumbs up to Yoichi P - You've made me believe again.
Big slap on the wrists to SE Senior Management for getting in the way of your own company's talent.
Here we are, a good week after the beginning of early access, and lo and behold I'm not even able to access my character at all. I paid for the digital Collector's Edition as well, since I was foolish enough to have faith in Square Enix. I have essentially owned the game for a week and haven't been able to play more than a full day's worth collectively. And you want to give me seven free days? Why? So I might wring one full day from the lot of them due to errors and incompetence? I'm certainly unsatisfied by such half-assed notions of an apology. Low level or not, I agree with the overall sentiment of the OP. "You had me at 'relic'..."
Hmm, the way I see it is that Square-Enix needs to offer game time compensation at least equal to however long their server issues continue to persist (more compensation if they wish, for good faith).
Even if it has only been about a week since early access, players have been unable to log on at whatever times they please due to intermittent server issues and emergency maintenance every single day since early access. Players/customers shouldn't be expected to have their paid game time be continuously drained due to error(s) on Square-Enix's part. The bottom line is that players should be able to log in and out whenever they please (except during the minimal downtime expected for maintenance). This is currently not being fulfilled and we players/customers shouldn't be having our paid game time expiring because of it.
Offering only 7 days of game time compensation, when their on-going issues have lasted longer than that is simply wrong and a betrayal of trust to their customers.

I think the free tme is ok, I wouldn't want free items, definately not a free relic <,< I like to work and earn my things, even though everything in this game is insanely easy right now. I actually wouldn't prefer free time at all actually cause what I think will really fix this game is when the sub. fees kick in. And all the people that are playing for free leave. Cause some people don't think so, heck I didn't think this way either, but there are alot and I mean alot of people that are playing this game right now cause its new and they can play for the free 30 - 60 days. So after 30-60 days when all the freebies leave thats when I think the game will actually be fixed.
No fix in sight till Wednesday, Early access was a week ago, will be 11 days on Wednesday, Maybe go back to elementary school and learn to count?
7 days to replace at least 11 days of awful service, no does not seem great to me.
They already gave 3 days free + 7 = 10. Hopefully it will be fixed on Wednesday.

Time is extraordinarily valuable as it is finite. However, how you spend it is your responsibility. Knowing there are issues and that trying to log in may prove to be useless, you are choosing to waste your time spamming A or 0 to get in. I'm in the same boat as you, but you won't hear me complain about not getting. Sucks hard, yes. But I am making the choice to do it. You are putting yourself through hardship by sitting there spamming. I don't like saying deal with it, but in reality, we know there is no fix until next Wednesday at the soonest. You can continue to spam buttons, or deal with it and persevere. If you wish to keep trying, that is on you. SE isn't forcing you to spam until you get in as they have already stated that they are doing what they can. This applies to everyone, not just the quotee. The problem with the free 7 days, is that you don't actually gain anything. During all this login trouble, I've lost game time. whether I have to pay for 7 days, or get them free. I still have them. however I will never get that time I lost from login issues back.
SE is pretty much saying heres 3.25$ for your troubles.
TLDR: SE wasted game time, people shouldn't complain that they are wasting Real time.(to a point)
Side note: You are asking for tangible virtual goods. That's cute.
