That would probably go to the Shin Megami Tesnsei series. Just about every monster and summon, along with some characters, are from various mythologies and folklore from around the world.
Then you come the quest in bronze lake where you oil a naked male elvaan...yes gj SE

Did you just notice this? They've been referencing Arabic culture for more than 20 years. In this game, there's an even earlier reference. "Ifrit" is from Arabic culture. There was no need to make a topic about the obvious here...
P.S. As you can see by my character, I'm Arab so things like this are obvious.
Just so you know Behemoth and Bahamut are both from Arab Mythology.Qarn means centry in arabic plus the boss is from old Egypt calture
never thought i would see something like that especially in RPGs that developers intrested in old arabic cultures
good job SE
off-topic
i also amazed from huge difficulty tune up just from 3 levels difference between brayflox and Qarn
looking forward seeing more and more harder quests and runs
Well Bahamut is from Arabic legend, but Behemoth (and Leviathan as well) are from Judaism (and hence by extension Christianity, and then by further extension Islam). But since Islam (Muslim) =/= Arabic, then no.
i was gonna ask you Majidah about this from a while
your character name completely arabic to me
dunno if you are arabian?
i know about monsters but entire dungeon about old arabic cultures thats new to meDid you just notice this? They've been referencing Arabic culture for more than 20 years. never happened in any FF before
These references are very fun.
Just did sunken temple for the first time, all of us except the healer had not done it before...
It was flippin awesome, I can't imagine how the higher lvl 50 ones scale but my god it was the funnest boss fight and my new fav dungeon(prev was copperbells). We ended up going in knowing only to "avoid the lazers" and we killed on first try without a wipe. Although we did wipe to minotaur once but it was at <10% and he spammed doom enough where healer got overwhelmed trying to heal and remove it.
But seriously if anyone hasn't done and is intimated they are right to be so... but don't let this fabulous dungeon pass you by.
Tip: at the end its flame on the left, fruit on the right :P
The head that runs away through out the dungeon is the best part.
