I almost wish you hadn't pointed this out, I just noticed that if I minimise my broswer with FF in the background I can see everyone moving around as normal. It's like torture.
Fire off an attack, tab, Fire off an attack, tab, Fire off an attack, tab, Fire off an attack, tab. Is this how Yoshi intended us to play? quite an odd combat system if i do say so myself.
This whole situation just boggles the mind. Why does the act of OBSERVING the game cause it to lag out and receive 90000? I wish I knew anything technical that I could apply to this situation![]()
Screw it, bumping. Not giving up on this until we get an answer or a solution.
Yeah I'm in need of an answer too on this, starting to get me pretty upset.
Lost most of the EA weekend and now it's friday and shit is starting to act up again.
Once more into the fray. Into the last good fight I'll ever know. Live and die on this day. Live and die on this day.
I'm already fed up with this.
I know it's only been 3 days since release but in all honesty, it's flippin' 2013... Game developers should've been able to pick up from each others mistakes over the years in the industry and learned from it in order to avoid stuff like this.
I am pretty sure (100% actually) that this is mainly due to an massive increase in traffic on the pipeline connected to the server network.
They've got TWO CONTINENTS running on ONE pipeline... It doesn't require you to be a rocket scientist to figure out that systems like that WILL cause issues for players on BOTH continents...
It may work well for a short period, but in the long run, as more and more people buy the game in both the EU and in NA, the heavier the load is gonna get, and we'll end up getting an unplayable game.
They should've done the only right thing, and added a server park for their EU players IN the EU region and keep one for the NA players in NA.
Quick fixes won't solve this issue at all.
Yeah, I'm starting to think it could be a while before we see service resume as normal. Some investigation and recognition would be nice, though!
What bugs me about all this is that some people are completely unaffected by any problems at all. Take my girlfriend for instance (who is, as we speak, fighting Ifrit) who has been playing since the beta with no problems at all, on the very same connection as me. I'm losing my mind, here.
I hit this problem today, totally at random after a couple of hours playing today - after no lag or disconnects the last week.Yeah, I'm starting to think it could be a while before we see service resume as normal. Some investigation and recognition would be nice, though!

Now the game is unplayable due to this crazy rubberbanding and "2 seconds on 2 seconds off" type server connection. Sat here twiddling my thumbs as Moogle is full and it takes me like 30 mins + just to relog due to "server full" BS <,<
Everyone else in my FC seems unaffected - so it seems to be targetting random people :<
Yeah, that's worrying me. If we have all these people playing the game with no problems maybe us over here in 90k Received 0 land aren't much of a priority. Seems that way if their silence and inability to respond to support tickets is anything to go by.
The problem i think is, that due to the sticky saying 'its fixed' maybe they actually think its fixed
