    they will probably rebalance exp from 30-50 when they increase the cap, and the addition of higher level leves and behests will make it a bit faster, but yea, i hope they make exp not take forever, and try to create content that you can do to level up that isnt super grindy feeling. dungeons may be this.

    They better have a better method for gaining ranks then leve's by then because I honestly don't think I could face R50-99 doing leves ; ;

    I'd really REALLY like them to increase it to 75... but if I have to grind to 75 through forced leve concentration camps I might eat my own face. I really hope they make party grind exciting (and more viable) then it is now. The idea of leves to 75 makes me a little ill.

    id prefer some other options, even besides your reg exp parties, im hoping dungeons are entertaining and give decent exp, rivaling anything else we ve seen. Some quests and adventure exp would also be good.

    Considering there is at least one main scenario quest in the game files that's R52 I'm pretty sure they intended to raise rank around PS3 release.

    The most obvious reason its delayed is because increasing level cap can be difficult, even for games like XI they had to do it in stages and they probably will this time because you have to supply a bucket load of content. You cant be expected to grind 50-75 and still be using that level 36 velveteen that is so good! lol

    I know we use a lot of old pieces now but that was because they were around when Tanaka was in charge, Yoshi might want to ensure we all got 50+ gears. Like the ones we've seen in the image he showed us. AF like gear.

    Fair enough- but here's my concern... Each job has 4-5 endgame weapons at the moment, and 3-4 sets of gear to mix and match. The bonuses for these is for the most part minor (where I feel it needs to be). My concern is that I don't think it would be good for the game's mechanics if there were gears designed over the power of what is currently end-game gear, even if the level cap was increased to 70 (effectively giving more points and elemental affinity points to juggle). So let's say they release the job system and each job has a maximum rank of 50, so the pLv is increased to 70. They could approach it a few interesting ways... Namely that job-specific gear could be mixed with job-weight gear. Having several several options for pLv based gear 60-70 as well as job specific pieces (for Rank 45-50). The point is, that the room for failure is rather broad in this regard- lest the game become a series of raiding for gears, or MvP hunting for gears grindfest (and no, that's not raising the level every other day, type of grindfest, that's playing chances for potentially wonderful drops grindfest- something the next generation of MMOs doesn't need).

    So if this is the case...
    The Hope: Job specific pieces will be earned through leves and guild credit, these will supply buffs to specific skills. Non-specfic pieces will have a more broad spectrum of aesthetics and supply raw stats/elemental resistance, and will be acquirable by crafting. With a pLv of 70 and rank caps of 50, the game will sit at a comfort zone of "obtainable" and "well thought out" with plenty of the necessary "challenge" in the later ranks.

    I'm pretty convinced about an increased cap level, which should be done atually soon so that the lack of endgame activities right now is justified by the fact that we won't stay at rank50 for too long.
    I personnaly would love a rank99 cap (as most FFs) with a first increased at 75 (kind of middle ground between 50 and 99) with some quest to unclock higher levels (as in FFXI, it was fun to do those quests to be able to go higher in level). I also would like the rank99 cap to so many many years after the rank75 cap because it makes all the time spent to gather 'endgame gears' for rank75 obsolete and it's kind of discouraging in my opinion.
    In any case, I would like to see a change about having 'endgame content' at rank50 because it is for sure not the 'endgame rank'. I'd rather here 'current rank cap content' or even content for everyone: Campaign/besieged that you could attend even at lower rank (and add unkillables mobs at rank50 in that content so it still can be used for when the cap is increased).

    I'm hoping they increase it when they add that dungeon they talk about. A cap increase is needed to rebuild the economy through new materials and increasing it after the dungeon means that content becomes obsolete fast.

    What ever they decide I hope they do it all at once, I do not like the incremental increases that most mmos do, it always ends up negating all old content.
    That is the whole point in doing it in the first place, FF11 had small increases its just they stuck at 75 for so long that everyone became shell shocked when they started to increase the cap again.

    I would like to see them add 2-3 levels every couple of months until they hit 99 (there are loads of rank 99 skills in the dats)
