    Should we expect a rank cap increase and some point in the future?

    I've been pondering this for a bit and I'm usually pretty good about keeping up to date and I don't believe this topic has really been addressed (most likely cause tons of other crap is in dev atm and this isnt too important), but ranking up seems pretty dang easy if you have big group, link leves, and invoke aspect a ton. So with the leveling being almost as easy as many casual mmos and the fact that fatigue is planned to be removed, do you guys think they will increase cap to 75 like in 11 or what?

    About 50% of the world you can't explore because the mobs are between level 70-90 so I say it is not a question of if they will do it but a question of when.

    R52 story mission has already been discovered in the .dat files, so it is coming for sure. My guess PS3 release.

    This was a part of the old design, I think... Hopefully Yoshi-P wants this to go into a different direction though.

    level cap increase is likely coming, got to remember this level cap is the one the game shipped with, this cap was only supposed last a few months, most likely till march at the latest. We got loads off stuff they would probably just have to turn on, like armors that npcs use, higher end camps, skills in the .dats.

    I expect 75 at ps3 release honestly. maby a few increased to like 60-65-70 before ps3 release.

    What ever they decide I hope they do it all at once, I do not like the incremental increases that most mmos do, it always ends up negating all old content.

    We will see a raise to rank 60 or 70. The DAT files have indicated the existence of other armor that we cannot acquire. Darksteel and Mythril armor being two examples. Mythril has no variations. Darksteel has three variations (white, gold, and plain).

    If you think about it, there are also pince-nezes as well that we cannot acquire.

    These are items earmarked for players past rank 50. I imagine they will become available when Ishgard opens, with a cap raise at the same time.

    However, I feel they need to make the EXP curve a little more gentler between R44 and R50, as it becomes very steep and frustrating to go through for the average player (and no, I don't speak of the Hardcores. ;P).

    level 99 is standard throughout all FF games, XI is making its way to 99 now after spending entirely too long on 75 if they were ever going to increase it. This game feels designed for a higher cap and I do believe our rank will be increased steadily to 75 and then upwards to 99, I think if they did learn anything from XI is that if they are going to increase cap, you can't make 80% of your end game content specific to that level. If they do raise cap in XIV content will be released for 50, 75, and then onwards, that would be the smartest direct instead of a huge chunk of the game being made for 50 and then releasing 75 later with no content. Plus 50 is a weak rank, if there weren't mobs higher than 20 ranks of us, I would say 50 is gonna stay, but the appearance of 76 and higher mobs just lets us know those are IT++ to a party of 8, and eventually they will raise cap.
