The problem I see most of the "just make more servers and dump players over there" is ... people play with friends/family/guildmates. Guess what the flashback is going to be when they get split up forcibly.

Also -- unless the world servers were designed by idiots, they should be able to make the server *cluster* more robust by scaling in more servers to support *that* world. At worst, then you end up with multiple instances of a zone and you may have to jump around a little to sync up with your groups.

I don't get the impression some of the defenders and apologists actually understand the physicality and structure of network clusters.
