Good information and a great post, thanks for sharing.Just got off the call with them. They immediately knew what the issue was and added me to the expedited queue. I told her about this forum and how people were unsure on if they needed to call or not and the lady said calling bypasses certain account restraints, as in for some reason they feel like its safer and quicker to ask someone questions about their account via phone to verify they are the owner.
I also had told her about people that had previously called claiming it had taken around 6-8 hours to fix. She said it will probably take much longer now and that the queue has risen very heavily.
She also said to me that any character progression done on the second service account will get removed. They aren't going to merge the accounts they are going to completely remove the second one and add the cdkey to the correct account.
I suggest everyone call as quickly as possible.
So basically, weve gone from spamming login for the 1017 to get in a queue, to spamming our phones to get into a queue.
This is unacceptable, if early access time is not extended before this is resolved then shit is going to hit the fan
I called right at 9 a.m. pst I'm still on hold so it's been 1 hour and 15 mins. If you call now expect hours. People yesterday were on hold for 2-3 hours and got hung up on. One guy was on the phone 9 hours yesterday.
The problem now though is that you cant even get in queue. Its just a busy signal
I'm already on hold (ring + automated response + repeat). Just curious how long i'll actually be on the phone with the representative for.
Has SE responded to this on thread at all? Would be AWESOME to hear about some kind of grace period or official answer.
I've lost a lot of respect from SE because of this entire launch. For a company that is riding on this game to save their company they sure didn't prepare correctly. I love the game, but all the other stuff is causing so many headaches.
If my account isn't fixed by the time the EA expires I don't know what I will do, but it won't be pretty.
