    Past research known as FFXI would say otherwise. EA and Square Enix clearly handle their games differently. One constantly makes you pay over and over again for the same game for years and the other makes Final Fantasy.

    I also can't believe I resorted to posting here, given the number of likes the second post has received makes me wonder if it was even worth it.

    Nah, they're not that different if you look at SE's recent trends of streamlining and caring about graphics over everything else.
