I got all my friends hyped to play this game, and now regret it as they all just trash talk it and stopped trying, got refunds on their preorders because they were never even able to play -- AT ALL--. Beta P3 was sweet..P4 was pretty much non-existent..Early access? What the %%#@ was that? Couldn't get in during that either. And now with launch, still unable to play? Why did we preorder? Why was "playing early" the reward? I'd literally throw a brick at their building if I was close enough. Spending $90,000 on servers would fix all of these problems and give people real options. From an IT standpoint, their sorry asses failed BAD. And don't give me "All MMOs have this problem!" No..They don't. Don't even mention WoW. That was back in 2004 when it launched. Technology has advanced so much and the game supports 10x what FF14 does any day of the week. Other games were from very 3rd partyish companies that didn't exactly have millions and millions to throw around. SE does. You didn't see this sorta of week long congestion with no feedback from anyone at any other major MMO launch. I think they're scared to admit they don't want to fund the fixes and are hoping it resolves itself. NA has never gotten real support from SE.

Yes, the "ALL MMOs have this problem!" is going to be a sorry excuse for any apologist has the hours of these errors progress. To be frank, I am certainly upset about all this login nonsense, but even more upset at the fact that Beta Phase 4 would have been the ideal time to test all of this. Instead Early Access turned into Beta Phase 5 which it was never meant to be.

On the first day of Beta Phase 4 it was painfully obvious that it was a huge error to make it so short and cut it so close to early access / release. It is my opinion (yes and I don't give a hoot if anyone doesn't like it) that if Beta Phase 4 had started earlier and lasted longer, this would be a non-issue at best or at worst they would have a head start on all of these issues.

Been trying to get in for 5 hours, WTF SE! I mean cmon how can you even let this go on, if i payed for a food i wudnt want it in a box i cant fucking open.
Just add more servers, for crying out loud so many players still cant get into the game, its not even early acces anymore, this is attrocious!

If they just hit the on/off switch on the server once they would log off all the IDLE people and let some of us play again. The secret here to to NEVER LOG off your server.

Come on SE, make more NA/EU servers and allow free transfers to those new servers. Killing the game before it even gets up to speed.

The Atomos server over in Japan seems to be working just fine.
