(Sneaky part of my brain thinks you may take the advice, wait to get in, some how giving me the chance to play instead. But they sneaky part of my brain is mean, and shouldn't be listened to.)

How very sneaky indeed. Maybe I'll just dip out early and grab food on my way so while it seems like I'm not rushing, in truth I totally am. I had heard from a friend the issues were fixed but I'm getting the feeling he was just lucky and go on without issue.

Same issue here. Just out of curiousity while we wait does anyoen know where to find the artical about people that previously owned the game. I have some buddies thinking of returning. Of course I am not telling them about this let em find out on thier own lol. But I can't remember where it said that they didn't have to buy a new copy. Thanks guys.

I'm totally disappointed with SE behaviour.
Half time of Early Access servers were down and everytime:

I'm coming back from work at the time when it's pointless to try log in. And I can't play the game i paid for. Yes they apologize. Do I care how they feel about it? No, I don't. I just want to play and certainly I don't need their problems added to mine. For 2 days of already paid time they are unable to do anything when they had months to deal with it. Not my fault they made Open Beta Test so hard to join and for 2 days only so they couldnt figure out how many western players will play.
What I need is actions, refunds and details on how they gonna make it work and how they gonna compensate my wasted nerves, time and money.

I completely and utterly agree. Though technically the game hasn't started, however I do not see any solution forth coming on Aug 27. I just want to play with me friends. That's it. I have no desire to be segregated away from them JUST because SE can't get their crap together and come up with a viable solution. I know it's somewhat difficult, but honestly this has been nothing but a let down for me. I spent most of yesterday trying to get onto Gilgamesh just to create a character to play with people that were just LUCKY enough to create on there. Did it happen? Nope. It's one of the few worlds that is constantly locked. I understand server limits and everything, but if hype up a game this much.. wouldn't you expect the response you are getting?

Darn, this morning gave me so much hope!

I've play for a few hours today, with periodic disconnects. Of course whenever I try to reconnect it tells me I'm still logged in and I have to wait. The last time I tried to log in I had a queue of 14 people, but then the dreaded 1017 error popped up. I guess we're back to no queues, and no options

Cerberus server still full, this getting annoying as hell. But still beter that they try an solve the error than ignore it. Japanese servers are fine just started a new game one one of them connection was not "excellent" but "good" so when the eu/na servers are back ill switch back or not i'll see

I tried logging back in, and had a queue of 9 in front of me..but then, BOOM! 1017....

Wow, this game is GREAT! You click start and select your character, then get sent back to the start screen again! What a phenomenal concept!!!

Seems like something happend, now its a queue and the message that the world is full, its a start.
And the queue moves.
