i am watching wildstar too... i was looking at AION??? anyone play this?If you are honestly looking for a new game, I enjoyed Dungeons and Dragons Online quite a bit. I haven't played recently, but I hear they finally released their new enhancement system (aka new talent system), so it is probably a better time to join than usual.
The only other mmo I'm vaguely interested in is Wildstar, but it is in beta still (and not open beta either) so that's out for now.
Personally, I'm going to keep playing FFXIV; fortunately, I play late enough at night I can usually get into the server. I'm still incredibly frustrated with how things have been handled so far, but I figure I'll give them at least to the end of my "free" 30 days that I've already paid for before deciding whether I'll keep paying or not.
I'm glad someone at SE told you this stuff, they haven't told me anything. Also this is day 4 since early release, and since official service started 26 hours and 40 minutes ago it's officially day 2. Not to mention the fact that it was REALLY released back in Fall 2010, and has been in some sort of developmental state for ~6 years total..... this is ridiculous, just stop defending them.

Well, sorry to hear that. You seem like a rather reasonable fellow. Not ranting and raging. This game needs people like that. It sounds like you have a good variety of things to play at least. Hopefully ya may change your mind in the future though.i didn't like the tera combat...
this game i don't really want to come back, i spent hours / days wasted.... 2 whole weekends of my life trying to play this game. i just hit a point that walking away from this game would be a good thing. i got a HDD full of games just need to roll the dice and play one... defiance.... firefall... GW2.. EQ2... tera.. diablo3... rift.. UO..

I did not like AION. My wife still plays however I found that it is so centrically based around PVP that you end up getting ganked more often than is comefortable for a game. Also, its is difficult to progress or be competitive in the PVP due to the fact that players who have been there since launch will have a major gear advantage on you most of the time. Needless to say I would not suggest it.
Tera Online isnt bad, cant be lazy with it though. The dodging thing keeps you involved. For something like FFXIV I would suggest SWTOR. If you can get past the animation, sci fi, and the fact that it is run by EA (which happens to actually have done a better job than SE >.> which is just ... just insulting) then it is an alright game and has a f2p option with it. Lots of time you can sink into the game with all the different story lines. Voice acting is really decent as well (and better than FFXIVs ... once again ... wtf happened? Lol)
Cya, the door is that way.
kinda stupid how people gives up on the day of launch already. Like you never saw a sodding mmorpg launch in your entire lives.
Like SE has never seen "a sodding mmorpg launch" before. Shame on them for not learning. Fanbois are so cute and funny.
Sent in a ticket and got the credit card charge dropped. I'll wait later to see if the game is worth picking up again in a few weeks.
