Fail on them for not implementing the AFK kicker to begin with. Its like the people the are running this game are stuck in 1999 or something. Well...crap games that came out post 2000 came with AFK kickers. What a ridiculous and joke of a company.
well im not happy with GW prices.. but i been playing 40k and fantasy over 20 years still have all my stuff... so all i really buy are books.. im working on a panoceania infinity army...Good god, don't. 6th edition is absolutely awful, and the prices have only managed to get more and more absurd. If you want a company that's more poorly run and hilariously out of touch with its fanbase than SE, look no further than Games Workshop. It's a rare achievement, but they manage to do it on a regular basis.
If you want to play a good tabletop game, try some of the really good skirmish games out there, like Infinity (it's pretty much Ghost in the Shell: The Tabletop game) or Malifaux.
And don't write off RPGs like D&D so easily, they can be great fun. I remember having an incredible time playing Gamma World and getting drunk (drunk DMing is the best DMing) with a bunch of friends.
I'm sick of hearing all the QQ.. i mean come on man just freaking wait..

Yeap I just want a refund. The creators of this game and The Game is pathetic, no different from scam artist.

Were you referring to GW2? Or Tera? Personally, I prefer the combat (not necessarily the role implementation) of those games. Quicker, more tactical. Sadly, the combat in this game is very archaic, but..... I am a longtime FF fan and everything else makes up for it.Maybe check back in with XIV after a few days though, things are sure to clear up. They do not want this game in the gutter yet again. Fingers crossed.
Try playing Maple story :-)

Ironically, Firefall has been tiding me over through this 1017 - 3102 mess. I love that game as well, and Stage 2 just started making it much more active. Makes dealing with the issues in this game a little easier I play that for the time being.
What about people who're going to be going back to school next week when they get their shit together? I have a single week off, was working the rest of the summer. I don't get to play what I paid for. Kinda sucks.

If you are honestly looking for a new game, I enjoyed Dungeons and Dragons Online quite a bit. I haven't played recently, but I hear they finally released their new enhancement system (aka new talent system), so it is probably a better time to join than usual.
The only other mmo I'm vaguely interested in is Wildstar, but it is in beta still (and not open beta either) so that's out for now.
Personally, I'm going to keep playing FFXIV; fortunately, I play late enough at night I can usually get into the server. I'm still incredibly frustrated with how things have been handled so far, but I figure I'll give them at least to the end of my "free" 30 days that I've already paid for before deciding whether I'll keep paying or not.

this game i don't really want to come back, i spent hours / days wasted.... 2 whole weekends of my life trying to play this game. i just hit a point that walking away from this game would be a good thing. i got a HDD full of games just need to roll the dice and play one... defiance.... firefall... GW2.. EQ2... tera.. diablo3... rift.. UO..
