Were you referring to GW2? Or Tera? Personally, I prefer the combat (not necessarily the role implementation) of those games. Quicker, more tactical. Sadly, the combat in this game is very archaic, but..... I am a longtime FF fan and everything else makes up for it. Maybe check back in with XIV after a few days though, things are sure to clear up. They do not want this game in the gutter yet again. Fingers crossed.
