I'm so tired of this phrase. If you really gave a crap you wouldn't be posting nonsense on a forum, you'd be out saving the world or something. So ride your high horse off into the sunset and away from preaching pseudo philosophical idiocy on a gaming forum.

To me this is just another incredibly stupid way to try to excuse a miserable launch. And as such, it is fail.

In counselling psychology, or anywhere actually, we call this perspective. You compare your problems with other real problems so that it helps you stop making a big deal out of things. It's a real coping technique that many people use to get out of depression and falling into irrational thought processes. It's anything but an "pseudo philosophical idiocy". If you would apply it yourself, you wouldn't be so "bothered" by someone else's statement or even this launch. Or you can just keep complaining, being unhappy, and wondering why this launch, or perhaps other areas in your life, sucks... or be content.

If that statement really bothers you, I've heard many people also called it luxury complaints. Either way, it means the same thing; it actually has nothing to do with first world or third world countries.

That's funny, everyone else just calls it pretentious.

(Just kidding. sorry, couldn't resist. )

    To the OP:

I was disappointed by the log in issues, but it happens, I didn't have the best experience, but I know a lot of people had worse ones. So I empathize with people who are frustrated and just need to vent. I just ignore them. Yes there are starving children in Africa who we could save, right now, by pulling two quarters out of our pockets. But we're allowed to care about small things. We're allowed to feel crappy about the crappy things in our lives even if there are crappier things happening somewhere else.

I hope the dev team doesn't take it personally, but they're humans. Skin can only be so thick. So I'm not trying to excuse the more vitriolic of the haters, but I hope they take comfort in the fact that so many people are driven into a rage that they can't play this awesome game they made.

And to me you just validate my point. Not trying to be philosophical or anything but I do think that the launch failure is causing stress to people because they are WAY too invested in it when you could just take a week off game, and log in when everything is fixed. Staying in front of your logging screen for hours hoping it will connect is just not good for your mind I think. It makes you even more bitter and it is not a good feeling to have.

And I am not on a high horse at all... it is a small unicorn.
