The server is full, try again later (1017)

My @$%#ing god not again. I get up hoping that yesterdays abysmal 12 hour downtime actually fixed something but oh look I still get a 1017 in the cactaur server. Im just curious as to the number of people actually allowed in a server atm as it seems I can never get in unless its early morning. This is not beta anymore, early access means the game is ready to launch and just saying "Oh it's not "officially released" till the 27th" is no excuse that holds up in my court. Betas are sadly jokes and are not far off from how the final product or launch acts like.

I WANT TO PLAY MY GAME SE. UNLOCK THE GODDAM SERVER RESTRICTIONS! YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE ALLOWED MORE PEOPLE IN A SERVER THEN WAS RECOMMENDED!

SE KNEW of the number of preorders roughly a week ago and could have set servers up to prepare but NO. They wanted to see how far they could get bare minimum before shit hit the fan and they actually wanted to impress people with how their game was remade? Yeah lovely first impressions because I don't think anyone has actually seen the new game past the starting town at this rate. A WEEK AGO THEY KNEW NUMBERS! This is only going to get worse now so I have no respect for them atm. Hell I lost respect for them since they become SE and stopped being SS who actually delivered quality content (yes not the same ball game anymore im aware).

Do they not realize that they make it seem they don't care about western audiences? Do they still have such little respect of our side of the world that they are stuck in the days when games were "Much to hard" for non-japanese and not everyone was equal in thinking capacity? If they are truly a company that wishes to make money and try to regain a foot hold in todays market they better act like it and not skim on the server software that runs your product to each customer!

I dont think its that. I just think its lack of planning is all. They outsourced alot of the US work.

I know everyone is very angry about this, and I have to admit I am as well since I have already paid money to play this game and I want to play it to my heart's delight. However, since we're all players here, there isn't a whole lot that we can do as far as physically making the servers able to handle the load or change the restrictions in place. However, I do know that we can help in our own way. There are a multitude of options that the staff managing this situation can take, but not all of them will be well received without the consent of the players. For example, setting up new servers to lighten the load and allowing players to voluntarily move their characters to the new server so that friends and teams can stay together. To be honest, if we players do nothing but whine and complain about the conditions and do nothing productive, the staff may decide to simply wipe the servers clean of characters and restrict how many players can register on each server, essentially starting from scratch or worse that they take the servers down until further notice while they upgrade their capacity, which means no one gets to play the game they paid for.

So in an effort to not have that happen I vote that we as players help out and start being constructive. Let's come up with ideas and solutions that we'd be happy with and can accept. That way when the staff is making their decisions they are more likely to make one that favors what we'd accept.

i can't help but feel sorry for se. we had a lot of troubles during my time with osi, but that was 1997. companies should be far more prepared now.
