Good. They don't deserve good press until they actually get a product that works. So far, they don't have that. Every single reviewer for this game is going to include how awful the servers are, and just imagine how much worse it will get on launch day, when everyone from 1.0 who DIDNT get legacy or DIDNT preorder can login...

You know the Japanese servers seem fine so that must mean there is an issue with the na/eu servers, and correct me if im wrong but SE did say they are working on it and apologized for the trouble so why not just wait. Kotaku has an article about how a guy stops his baby from crying, dont waste your time on that website, or whining on forums instead give us tricks and tips for game play if you have any.

It's not just Kotaku. Just drop "Final Fantasy 14 A Realm Reborn" on Google and all the gaming sites that are coming up aren't giving very nice review about it. Of course gaming media is interested on it because of the last fiasco and this really doesn't look good. I've had my share on EA, and had fun but damn SE, get your shit together.

Final Fantasy 14 hardest game ever. Its a challenge to just past the start screen. XD Priceless.

I know the white knights are aching to go out there and fight for FFXIV but this isn't our fault and just pointing out other mmos have had bad launches doesn't help, basically it's SE's fault for not handling this properly when problems were beginning to present themselves during open beta. 3102 happened and then it was over and we all just sat there hoping early access would have these magic fixes they said they would (haha).

They honestly deserve the bad press especially because of the way they handled the situation by capping servers and hardly giving any detailed information.

I think what we need to do is agree that the game content is solid but server issues are blocking our sights to that. We all just have to come at this with cool heads and just relax a little bit. Once the server issues get resolved we'll all be happy to play a fairly solid game!

Server issues aside, the game runs surprisingly well on my PC. I can't enter the main city in Neverwinter (Protector's Enclave) without crashing. Loading screens in GW2 also tend to crash the game for me. The only "crashes" I've gotten in FFXIV so far is when the servers go down for maintenance and I lose connection. It's a stable game in general. I'm also finding it a lot more fun than version 1.0, and am quite pleased with the available content and features. If I could actually log in and play, I would be a very happy customer.

Did you read the "apology"? They aren't fixing anything, they said limiting access to the servers IS THE SOLUTION. That means...no new servers...no better servers...IF they are planning on new/better servers...they need to tell us when and how long its gonna take. I haven't been able to log in for any of EA..and thats ok. But their big plan for release is..nothing. It won't get better, it will get worse. Want some tips and tricks? Play a game that lets you login, don't give your money to square..
