. 3. How would we know? 7.exactly! We don't know what's going on but we should! Lack of communication. English players are most vocal? Maybe the Japanese players don't have as much to b# tch about.1. Nobody at SE spends 100% of their time working on FFXIV. People need sleep, bathroom breaks, etc.
2. Even if somebody is on top of the situation, it takes time to do anything.
3. Their silence doesn't mean that the community reps aren't here.
4. The reason the JP servers work and the NA/EU servers don't is that there are simply too many people trying to access the NA/EU servers.
5. NA/EU servers are not played strictly by NA/EU players, and the JP are not played strictly by Japanese people.
6. Paying whatever you payed so far does not entitle you to being overly ignorant and malicious.
7. Unless you are there or have recently been there, you have no idea what is going on at SE.
8. SE is a business - their goal is to make money.
Bonus. The English player-base is vastly the most vocal player-base on the forums.
I know you will all take what you want from this.

You forgot to mention that, quite OVERWHELMINGLY the english speaking population is the most incredibly disrespectful, immature, unsympathetic/understanding, and the most impatient.
Also, I'm pretty sure that whenever someone on the NA/EU team thinks of a fix or programming/software adjustment for something, it has to pass through the JP chain of command first. Keeping in mind the time difference, Japan is asleep for most of the North American business day = delays. SE needs to get a bigger NA team and give them more autonomy if they want things to run smoother. I think the L.A. SE office has three people working there(really three, not exaggerating)
Anyone else tired of seeing this Copy/Pasted into every post they make? ""We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that this is causing everyone for an extended period, but we would like to ask for your continued cooperation to make this a stable environment.""
If they say it enough will we believe it?

I think people just want an answer or a response about something other then the obvious. I would like them to acknowledge error 3102 in the new topics thats all.
my only hope is that later tonight(during non-peak \hours) they'll take the servers offline then maybe my character will be free from limbo
I think you forgot to mention the German population. I've heard rumours that they are about to invade Poland because of this.

I'm so dumb I spelled my name wrong. I ain't even got a brain.
Didn't expect this to get any traction, just laughing at the Square Enix White Knights.
Problems are natural, but the way they are being handled is absurd. The "Please come back later" message for servers being full is like spitting in the face of their customers. Either give a timeframe or don't bother doing anything. Many of us had a full day off to play the game today, they could have just said that severe problems will cause 12-24 hours of downtime rather than have us clicking into pointless errors all day. It never stops to amaze me how pathetically terrible major corporations can operate. Properly communicating with customers in this case just takes ONE person, let their job be just sitting there all day and relaying information from IT to the public regarding the status. What they are doing now makes it seem like they have no idea what is happening and no plans of fixing anything. Their latest status updates are completely meaningless statements that do not address what everyone's problem is. Years of work by the dev teams is being destroyed by the people who have the most simple customer service jobs.
