Considering how things are being handled for Beta Phase 5 erm.. I mean early access, launch day will likely be even more horrendous. Longer beta sessions and testing their "fixes" during peak times would likely have prevented this. Don't screw your early access folks, we are the ones that go out on a limb to get everyone around them excited to play. No one has to believe anything I say, but should this game fail again there is not going to be another second chance, so keep that in mind before anyone tells the rest of us to "chill".While I will agree some what with the OP about MMO launches, I have to agree with everyone else more.
I really enjoy this game, but when it comes down to it, SE's lack of proper communication is nerve racking. I am happy to wait for them to fix issues that arise, but we go hours without knowing if SE is going to address the issue, and when they do, they don't even fix it properly the first time....
I don't think they were ready for so many people either. If that is the case, how do they expect to be ready for launch on the 27th?
I actually wish that they would have had more closed beta sessions and a longer, larger open beta to give themselves more time to run into and fix these complications. Maybe its just me, but I'm sure people would rather have waited for a more playable pre-release that was pushed back a bit, than have to deal with this, their lack of communication, and eventual vague responses.
Agreed. Beta seemed very short and very little play time. And I have gotten 3 people to buy the game based on my critique of the game play on beta. I am not looking to get anything for that, but I am highly frustrated that they dished out money, and now they are like... "um, so you are sure this game is good, cause I can not even play". I want this game to be great so please communicate.Considering how things are being handled for Beta Phase 5 erm.. I mean early access, launch day will likely be even more horrendous. during BETA they should've worked out the bugs that's what that phase was for. Early access if for people that have bought the game, paying real money for the code, so to have it where people cant play is very very bad. I can understand some bugs still being there, like the original poster said its still early in the launch but this is not cutting it. they say they fixed the problem but they have not. they do 2-3 hour maintenance for what? I would like a list of the stuff they are fixing and just just sitting there and powering the servers down and turning them back on. that does not fix the problem...
Being Passive and being mature are not the same thing Kamina. And I wonder how many of us not complaining are actually trying to be mature about this as obviously flooding the forum with complaints about the same thing nonstop hasn't done anything. Just assuming that those not complaining or even defending SE are able to play is laughable.
Just because we are mature adults ( at least some of us), doesn't imply that we will not take offense to a severe lack of communication, oversight, update, and patching.... even neglecting the absolute incompetence that went into server-side structuring, and code coordination.
Writing about these issues in the forums expresses our distress over the condition of the game. If everyone were constantly as passive as you in game design and quality assurance, the MMO world would be an incredibly pathetic place, and wouldn't give companies any reason to COMPETE in the video game market....
Ah Vago not true. There were MANY late pre-ordered games going out the day of or the day before early access so that in itself screws up any "numbers" they might have previously had.
Bahahaha, WOW.
To the OP:
troll much :P, I enjoyed reading the responses as much as you probly have.
Since I am awesome, I declare this thread to have served its purpose and it may now either be spammed with boobs or closed.
Boobies!
