    I see both sides of the issue here. One one hand, we as players have now paid for this game, while no one expects it to go perfect, they never do, this is way more then should be expected from a company as large as SE, with the resources they have behind them. Too many people on the server? They want to monitor it manually? Fine, open a queue that they can manually allow players back in at the pace they choose. Don't have it be totally random. My wife and I are both playing, she has gotten into the server 3 times, and been booted back out 3 times, yet I am sitting here unable to get in at all, on the same server. I expect more from SE.

    I am aware SE has a huge task at hand with a launch like this, and I am understanding about that and not rage quitting. I am just disappointed in this. This is supposed to be a reboot of a game they admit was bad, they should have been way more cautious on how this game was at launch then this. I am sure there are some people that played 1.0 that are already done with this... how is it different? Can you really blame them? I really hope SE is working hard on this issue and is able to get it fixed before the full launch. I want this game to succeed, I have high hopes that this will be a game I can get into and have a fun community again... time will tell.

    i wonder how many of the people defending SE in the forum is in game right now, refusing to log out because of the difficulty of getting back in. if you're able to log into the world right now, and you have it minimized just to defend SE against all the reasonably upset players, then you need to log the fuck out and let other people in. this forum should be slam full with complaints, demands for refunds, OR explanations/plans to deal with the problem, because it is a problem, regardless of if it's open beta, early access, launch, during a free month, or any other time that they promise gameplay.

    i'm also wondering why didn't they put a system in to boot players who've been afk for a certain period of time? that would take a lot of stress off of the problem with the worlds being full.

    Well it's even more than that. What we've actually gotten in the way of response is lacking at best. Something goes terribly wrong, they identify a 'problem' and they don't even give us a nod to say, 'Hey, this is what we're having an issue with. We're going to try this thing to fix it.' Instead we get vague, general and particularly uninformative 'It's broken, we're fixing it' responses. And some of the fixes have been awful too.

    The Duty Finder has broken 3 times after they've 'fixed it', and most likely all due to the same cause. They tell us that their issues are due to congestion, so they lock down servers and then tell people that during peak, if you haven't gotten in that's just too bad. Wait and try in off-peak hours.

    Well, for a lot of us that doesn't work. People who work 9-5 jobs can't get in on 'off-peak' hours. I, myself, am a teacher which means I only ever work on off-peak hours and I only ever get time off on Weekends.... oh wait, those are 'peak hours' too, aren't they?

    The servers (physical servers to be specific) need to be beefed up. Bandwidth needs to be improved as well. The forums alone from the East coast filter through Germany back to Japan and in Germany there's a ping spike that goes from 31ms to 200+ms within a single jump! Then on SE's own internal servers there's a spot where you get no response for at least 7 jumps before the forum server finally responds... on jump 29.

    It makes a strong case for an 'eggs in one basket' scenario, and I'm sure they didn't expect the NA/EU demand to be as high as it is. The only thought that comes into my head though is a couple overwhelmed guys in IT going, 'Well... it's the weekend. All the bosses are off and we can't get anything shipped in until Monday. Guess they're just going to have to suffer the weekend.'

    The difference is, The errors from Other MMOs were easily looked over by the fact that people had face time with the game. There are people trying to play since the beginning of open beta that have less than 2 hours logged in playing. That is less than 1% play time for the average amount of time the game has been "Available"

    I've been very excited for this game, I'm starting to lose that excitement and become frustrated. Bugs and crashes are expected, restarts and maintenance too. However Login issues and world server queue issues should have been tested, and removed in the "Stress test" beta, not Pre-release.

    It is like paying for a roller coaster ride to look at the roller coaster while it is broke and not being able to be refunded, or even told when it would start again. would you put up with that?

    While I will agree some what with the OP about MMO launches, I have to agree with everyone else more.

    I really enjoy this game, but when it comes down to it, SE's lack of proper communication is nerve racking. I am happy to wait for them to fix issues that arise, but we go hours without knowing if SE is going to address the issue, and when they do, they don't even fix it properly the first time....

    I don't think they were ready for so many people either. If that is the case, how do they expect to be ready for launch on the 27th?

    I actually wish that they would have had more closed beta sessions and a longer, larger open beta to give themselves more time to run into and fix these complications. Maybe its just me, but I'm sure people would rather have waited for a more playable pre-release that was pushed back a bit, than have to deal with this, their lack of communication, and eventual vague responses.

    And I wonder how many of us not complaining are actually trying to be mature about this as obviously flooding the forum with complaints about the same thing nonstop hasn't done anything. Just assuming that those not complaining or even defending SE are able to play is laughable.

    This never ceases to amaze me... People sit there and make excuses for the game while it's still thriving. See me in 3 to 6 months or so when the game has slowly died because they followed the same path every other MMO did that has failed in the past decade. Get it through your thick skulls, the ones that succeed are the ones that keep in touch with their community even when there is a problem. While they have been better than they were last weekend (phase 4) we're still sitting in the dark half the time. It's been over and hour, and all they've told us is, "there are people having troubles getting on." WE KINDA KNOW THAT ALREADY!! Give us some freaking honesty, even if it's a "We don't know what the problem is, you are looking at 3-6 hours before you can play again" At least in that situation, i'm not sitting here spamming login over and over, just hoping MAYBE i can get in.

    TALK TO YOUR COMMUNITY...ffs

    yea the reason I am complaining is because this is early access. Do you know what that means? That means this is only access for people that pre-ordered the game. So, to expand on that, this means that this number WAS KNOWN by SE as to the amount of people that would be logging into the server and playing because they KNOW how many copies of the game they have sold...and it still fails HORRIBLY.

    So I have to say, anyone defending them...WHY? This load should not have been a surprise to them

    This rationale held water last weekend on phase 4 of Beta. It's supposed to be fixed this weekend, and the server capacity should already be there this weekend.
