This is the community's reply to whether they want to see drastic changes in Eorzea. The majority do.
You are not part of the majority. Deal with it or get out.

No, i'm not. However i bought the game and liked it..and do voted against changes at bot polls. And i'm already tired of dev team hiding behind a poll built with malicious questions (its already explained in a million topic here...not explaining again) to trick such naive playerbase this game had to give them white card to do whatever they want.http://static.finalfantasyxiv.com/to...4faff34ed00e74

I've been offering them, instead, constructive feedback since the start in a try of prottecting this game from becoming a copy/paste of other MMOs, just like it is right now...what about you? Seens like you prefer the "Do whatever you want to my game!" approach. Keep in mind that its not beta anymore...we all bought the game. Quality is a "must have" now...we cannot wait them change then undo then redo stuff like they are doing.
This game has a solid system and a solid mechanic...nothing more than a few tweaks are needed. They should be making real content that fit this game instead of copying stuff from other games and trying to adjust it to this one. Right now the dev team is trying to fit a glove in a cow paw. They are expecting that as they keep copying/paste content there will be a day where the old, original content will not be used anymore so they can just remove it.
You know that "drastic changes" is quite a vague concept, don't you? If, in exemple they would... change the graphic engine, make the character super deformed and make them ride a skateboard it would still be a drastic change... it doesn't mean that's what the majority wanted.http://static.finalfantasyxiv.com/to...4faff34ed00e74

Also, the majority vs minority thing is a really archaic way of thinking and that's also pretty fascist :/ everyone here is a potential player that wants to help making a better game and thinks that he's giving a good feedback, so saying "you're opinion doesn't count anything" is really pointless.
EDIT: Also, since you really wanna talk about majority and numbers, the majority of the players left back in November after the first big patch, when the SP rate was still awfull so I really doubt they got far into the game, but still they got to make the poll, so I would dare to say that the majority was right by saying that the game wasn't fun, but they didn't know what they were talking about when they were talking about battle system, NM and dropsif you really wanna talk about numbers you have to take this into account.

no that's not fair. facts are not allowed. i mean just because i voted for drastic changes myself does not mean this is anywhere near the drastic changes i wanted. You know that "drastic changes" is quite a vague concept, don't you? i wonder how many people that voted for drastic changes would have voted yes if they asked "do you want us to drastically make this game super easy to where a 5 year old kid can do it"? i know i am one vote that voted for major changes that would have changed my vote.

Wow, way to run in with the 'Poll says I can shout down your constructive criticism' strategy.http://static.finalfantasyxiv.com/to...4faff34ed00e74

Sorry, but by opening these forums, S-E removed any right people like you might have had to tell us to shut up about our opinions. So people said they'd be okay with big changes. So what?
Even setting aside how great a jerk your 'majority says shut up' argument makes you look, that poll was to establish a direction for the team to go in, and it has - and we're all fine with that. The results of it do not give you the right to go running into every topic you vaguely dislike and tell people to 'shutup or GTFO'.
Square-Enix request our feedback, we're giving it to them. People may be okay with drastic changes to the game, but why should we not be allowed to talk about why we dislike this change in particular?
That poll, at this point, is completely irrelevant; to this thread, to far less considered threads, and even to threads arguing in favour of even more drastic changes that I imagine you think it supports. It was a one-time effort to give the development team a sense of direction during a difficult time, and I imagine some of them are rather regretting publishing the results now, what with people like you running into topics and waving 'We're okay with big changes' in everyone's faces as an argument why they should feel small and unimportant. As of the forums opening, people are allowed to offer whatever criticism, praise, or ideas they want and hope the developers take notice, and that includes, "I'm sorry, I don't like this particular change, this is why I feel it's detrimental."
Deal with it, or get out, and take your meaningless numbers with you.
[And just for the record, I voted 'No' to drastic changes. A: Because knowing the internet, it was obvious people like this would start touting a positive answer at everyone they didn't like. B: Because I just knew that if I did, two thirds of the changes would come back to bite me for it.
And I still find it laughable to think that at the time, Naoki Yoshida could have imagined he would get anything like a considered reply, let alone an informed one, to so vague and dramatic a question of so riled a userbase]

Ooh, he's an idiot .. I mean, yeah I figured but I thought maybe an idiot at least .. bah, how sad.
Well, whatever, I'm sure there are a decent few felt better for reading a proper argument against people abusing that stupid poll. And I just remembered there's an ignore button. *clicks*
'Wonder if I should put an actual thread somewhere about why that poll's not relevant to the forums, though, instead of trying to bicker with every self-important nut runs around shouting at threads they don't like..
