More bothersome than the downtime would have been myself unable to join Duty finder, while others can, and creating a level gap made of unfair advantage due to poor luck. Nobody want's that (again. Ahem...) It's bad enough I had to roll up a new character this morning to finally get on the server my friends are on. I'd be livid if my leveling was hampered by being incapable of finishing my story quests, and held back from catching up even further.

or everyone on JP servers getting way farther than us? It started for them at a more convenient time and servers are fine.. For NA/EU it was at the asscrack of dawn and when normal people are waking up it is down for hours. heh dosent seem fair.

maybe just maybe JP server are maintainned by asians but NA/EU servers are by ordinary euro-american IT guy?

For those who aren't aware, this is the first time Square Enix attempts to make dedicated servers for a MMO. It isn't a surprise to me to see them having issues handling overseas servers.

used/using the downtime to go store and stock up on food and snacks and then making some dinner, working out nicely.
