you cant have it both ways unfortunately
also it doesnt really kill pickups, i see alot of people doing pickups with them still
and alot of people do the non "main" leves for extra sp and especialy for guild marks on the side

Why not? NM faction leves are hard and require faction points as prerequisite. I don't see why can't we have both ways.
People do their leves with their linkshell. They fail leves, then they gather a selection of the good one, and grind them with their static group. A pick up gruop can take over an hour to form because pretty much no one wants to use their leves outside the ls.
Sorry I thought you had read my Guildleve idea (Clicky) and was commenting on that not what I had posted in here. ^^i was just pointing out a stupid fact, people will complain, period, no matter what the change is
personaly im all for a set ammount of SP per leve based on "conditions" for how it was completed.
Number of people
Difficulty
Links
but knowing how things are, itd be MASSIVELY abused cuz i can already see a way to exploit it like that(party disbanding to hand it in as if each person solod the leve, yeah i see that already)
"storing sp" from mobs to be given out at the end is also a pretty bad idea cuz it doesnt change how useless some leves are currently for sp gains compared to others.
right now the best solution is to offer every leve every reset to everyone instead of random ones, thats what id want to see. of course people would STILL use the fail method to get in extras, but itd also give people tons of options for completing leves every cycle and youd probly see all of them every time instead of people doing just 2-3 of them.
But basically I think my idea solved pretty much all the problems of the current Guildleve system and also some of the new possible exploits but you did bring up a new one of people leaving the party to hand them in. The way I see it is if it is a total at the end and the mobs are spawned as they are now then that pretty much end that problem right there.
Lets use Dunesfolk as an example (sorry just think everyone is familiar with that one) So you get to the last light which you know has the Peiste and you are in a party. If disbanded there would still only be one light to spawn the Peiste to finish the Leve and as soon as it dies the Leve is auto completed so you can't kill it then disband. Only the person who started the Leve can pop the Peiste if the everyone disbanded so the other members would be unable to complete the Leve and get the credit so it would be pointless to try that approach.
I do like this kind of discussion and I wish there was more of it, coming up with ideas to help the game as opposed to just complaining ^^
yeah there are lots of ideas to make them work, but there will always be those who dont like the ideas and complain or whatnot just for the sake of itSorry I thought you had read my Guildleve idea (Clicky) and was commenting on that not what I had posted in here. ^^

and right now with the current system the biggest problem is
1) not enough variety in worthwhile leves forcing people to want to do the same ones
2) the fact you only get to choose between 3 per day from any given spot
given all 8-9 at that spot per day, hell id gladly take ALL 8 every day, and do all 8 with people(linking them) as a nice group and statics wouldnt be an issue, just making sure you do them with people in the proper range
that alone would do wonders for the system. it wouldnt be about which are the best if you could just do them all every day(of course this would limit your ability to do any other type of leve or go to other camps and do them too, but thats the price you pay, the limit of 8 for a reason)
