Yeah, I practically stalk the forums, I definitely did in 1.0, but with this posting restriction, I'm going to have to look into finding another XIV community... I'm sure these forums will be a ghost town soon enough after launch due to the restrictions stifling conversation.

Me too. I'm pretty Forum crazy. I had a lot of posts in Beta and I only joined in June/Phase 3.

You got a 10 day ban for posting a gif? That's nuts lol...but I guess these mods are better than most gaming forums.

And it was a bad ass looking gif. Actually, there was more and I was being funny about it. I posted Fame Lady Gaga in tags...so they may of been it. I dunno I don't wanna get a ban by telling.

Because of the restrictions I haven't even looked at forums other than new player help because I can't post in those forums. Am I the only one who is doing this? I didn't realize it until a few minutes ago.

Yeah, you have to be VERY careful, SE is very strict (despite what the rampant trolls make it appear). I got perma-banned from the beta forums essentially for expressing sympathy to someone (won't go into details, I don't wanna be banned again), which got me a 10 day ban, and during that 10 day ban, I was notified of having violated the ToS yet again (IMPOSSIBLE, btw, since I was already suspended), and then permanently banned. I contacted SE about it but they never responded to my ticket. :/

I'm also doing this now. Why look in other forums and work up a desire to post in them when I'm not going to be able to?

I'm really not interested in lurking the other sections much if something could use participation in it'd be pointlessly frustrating.

the beta forums were monitored to ban anything that could even remotely be dissenting towards the game and SE in particular which is why it turned into the toilet it did.
removing all of one side of an argument creates a vacuum and the posters left start trying to create they're own arguments to fill it. so we got thousands of pointless threads spamming and trolling. it was really funny to watch happen actually.

I haven't even been looking there after I was able to substantially confirm that my 20 posts aren't renewing. How about a link? As far as I'm aware, I'm the only person that made a post about the non-renewal of the post count.

Well originally I wanted to make a thread in the Ultros world section but found out I couldn't make new threads, so then when a thread was made I wanted to go make posts in it which I then found out I had hit my limit and now I am just foraging around the new player help forum waiting for EA to start.
