lol just read something funny in the general forum the rep posted about the NDA applying to EA.
this does affect anyone who signed the NDA to beta test the game.

now the problem with the reps statement is people who have never participated in the beta can buy early access to the game. which means they have not agreed to the NDA and therefore would not be held to its rules unless they have a new NDA page when we go to enter EA which didn't look like it for the download today. this could be a legal issue SE has screwed the pooch on if someone does stream the EA.

The ToS came up when I installed the client on a new computer so I'm not sure where this is coming from. Is this different for others? Well I didn't look to see if it was the same stuff since I already glanced over it on my own computer but I am pretty sure it was the same info from phase 4.

tos does not include the NDA which is a totally separate legal document we agree to.

Ah I wasn't sure if the NDA was included in them since I just rushed installed so I could start patching those 8 gigs. Well there isn't much SE can do now unless they add a new patch before EA starts that include the NDA.

Yeah, I practically stalk the forums, I definitely did in 1.0, but with this posting restriction, I'm going to have to look into finding another XIV community... I'm sure these forums will be a ghost town soon enough after launch due to the restrictions stifling conversation.

Well if they add the patch to force the NDA to pop up before EA starts then everyone will be forced to see it whether they like it or not.
