No valid or active service account is available to play FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Re

Legacy player here for PC, and purchased for PS3 through PSN.

getting same error as shown on OP for PC version, log into square enix account, showing FFXIV being active, but nothing about realm reborn

And funny enough, for PS3, if you check services list in your account, it shows both early access and collectors edition pack start on Aug 13th, and expires aug 23rd.

They gave us services that expire before the game even comes out.
Before when I tried PS3 earlier today, it just game me the same message as on PC, now it's telling me I need a new code .... man, I thought the beta was good, this might be FFXIV V1.0 all over again >=(

That expiration date didn't occur until a few hours ago. It originally only listed the start on whatever date you purchased it. I really hoped they were just renewing the licenses and I hope that the representative one of the above posters listed was wrong and that we will be able to play tomorrow. Anyway, if it fixes tomorrow, I hope to see you guys there... if not, see you in another week.

well i preordered the CE, and i have this bad feeling they'll only give us the free download for the standard edition only... and give us some other items instead of the actual CE items. f*** Sony. F*** SE.

I know one thing i will never in my life ever again preorder a digital game from sony.

This might help you out. My advice is to create a new PS3 user, pre-order the game from amazon, use the early access code they email to you, and download the game. Amazon doesn't charge you and you can cancel the order after you receive the code. I already had a spare code from amazon prior to ordering on PSN that I used. I am currently about 70% into the download now. At the very least you might be able to play this weekend with this "fix" (if you want to call it that).

I'm going to try and see if it will let me repurchase it at 12 am to redownload. If it works for me ill give the voucher away. I've waited since 1.0 to play this i quit final fantasy 11 to play this. I just want to play it.... Why couldn't they just fix the license for the games instead of doing this to people. I mean i wonder how much money they are losing because of this mess up.

I'm using an EA code that I got from Amazon right now, (got it months ago when I pre-ordered from them originally) but doing it on my regular PSN account. It's downloading as we speak. Slow as hell, but downloading. If it works and I can get on I'll let everyone know. If it doesn't and I have to create a new account, then... I'll create a new PSN account... /sigh. Really hoping to avoid that. Can't remember the password on my main account.

Wait, did you get refunded for your psn purchase? If so, how are you able to update the client now? Shouldn't it be inactive?
