is simple 30 days free play is not a bonus for buy the game, is a bonus for create a new account services. if you think about it is logical all 1.0 players get they 30 days free when the create the account service at 1.0 launch.Ex 2 and 3 are both understandable and expected. but your first one needs to be clarified by an SE representative because that is the main issue at hand.
In short, it shouldn't matter whether or not i already own 1.0. If i'm paying $80 for a physical copy of the game, i deserve an additional 30 days of free game time that is otherwise included in the purchase of the game.
so what your saying is that paying $29.99 for the game for a new account gives a free 30 days, but paying $49.99 minimum to get the collectors edition items and adding that to a 1.0 account doesn't qualify for a free 30 days... see where this math doesn't add up
yes because upgrade you 1.0 account to ARR collectors edition will only cost $19.99 at launch, so when they plan the incentives for new and old players for this relaunch they did't expect that someone will buy a new copy of a game that will get for free with 14 days of free play, just to get 16 days more. because if you think about it, that is illogical.

Your clearly confused on how things work and should just stop posting now.yes because upgrade you 1.0 account to ARR collectors edition will only cost $19.99 at launch, so when they plan the incentives for new and old players for this relaunch they did't expect that someone will buy a new copy of a game that will get for free with 14 days of free play, just to get 16 days more. because if you think about it, that is illogical.
If you purchase a new copy of ARR, 1.0 or not, you get 30 days free. You probably also get 2 additional weeks if you are 1.0.
yes.... they would never expect someone owning the 1.0 for PC to buy a physical collectors edition for PS3.yes because upgrade you 1.0 account to ARR collectors edition will only cost $19.99 at launch, so when they plan the incentives for new and old players for this relaunch they did't expect that someone will buy a new copy of a game that will get for free with 14 days of free play, just to get 16 days more. because if you think about it, that is illogical.

heh actually, SE already confirmed that buying another platform will give you another free month:
https://support.eu.square-enix.com/f...0&subject=free
"If you upgrade to a full subscription after the Free Trial ended and then register a license for another platform, the duration of your currently selected subscription will be extended by 30 days in lieu of another Free Trial."
so now we just need to have SE confirm that the same goes for a second pc edition
@Haistol, i didn't just get the new edition for the extra free time. I also got it for the early access
This is great news. Hopefully a second PC license gives the 30 days too, but I guess we have to wait and see what SE says.heh actually, SE already confirmed that buying another platform will give you another free month:

they would have expected it, as they told people to buy the game again to get early access if they didn't qualify for legacy.yes because upgrade you 1.0 account to ARR collectors edition will only cost $19.99 at launch, so when they plan the incentives for new and old players for this relaunch they did't expect that someone will buy a new copy of a game that will get for free with 14 days of free play, just to get 16 days more. because if you think about it, that is illogical.

since there's now multiple theories floating around i'm hoping for a SE rep to answer as well.
Since they told people they needed to buy the game anew if they wanted early access (if they did not qualify for legacy/collectors edition) it seems a bit strange that we would not get the month free as well. Otherwise it's quite a pricey early access (what, 10 euros a day?)
